Tommy Fury has shared a heartfelt tribute to his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague after giving birth to their daughter Bambi.

The former Love Island stars, both 23, welcomed their first child into the world last week, and over the past day since revealing the news have also told fans of her unique name.

Writing to his 4.4million followers on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon, the boxer penned a touching message over a picture of the new mum fawning over her little girl laying in a baby hatch not long after being born.

He wrote: ‘The best mummy in the entire world. Watching how you care for Bambi makes me love you more than I knew I could.

‘You’re everything I could have ever dreamed of for a mum and role model for our perfect girl.

‘Thank you for making my dreams come true baby, I love you. @mollymae.’ 

He also posted a picture of himself with adorable Bambi laying on his chest in a white babygrow, captioning the moment: ‘Daddy’s little girl. Forever.’

Tommy’s sweet words come after new mum Molly turned off the comments on her baby name post.

The Love Island star took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a snap of her baby girl’s name in illuminated letters overlooking her little girl in her cot, having previously admitted that some fans would ‘hate’ it. 

Molly-Mae shared an adorable image of her daughter nestled in her cot next to a Bambi toy, with her name illuminated in lights on the wall.

She captioned the post: ‘Bambi’ along with a heart emoji.

The name Bambi is of Italian origin and is thought to derive from the word ‘bambino’, which means ‘child’. 

Molly-Mae had previously admitted she always knew what she was going to call her daughter, adding that she knew some of her fans wouldn’t like it.

In a previous YouTube Q&A she said: ‘It’s not made up, it’s totally not made up, I can’t explain it. It’s just not a name that’s ever been used before. It’s very very different and rare and you’re either going to love it or hate it.

‘I’ve had the name picked out since I was a baby girl myself. It’s always been a dream baby girl name and luckily when I met Tommy and I told him the name I’ve always dreamt of using, he absolutely loved it too.

‘It’s a really really unusual and a different name, I do not know anybody else with the name. I’ve not seen any other girls with the name before, it’s that different.’

Elsewhere on Tommy’s stories, the boxer posted more snaps of adorable early moments shared with his daughter since she was born last week.

One showed the athlete sat topless on the chair in the hospital room having some skin-to-skin time with him gazing down at the newborn.

He captioned the picture: ‘Best day of my life’, and added: ‘She was in the towel I promise’, joking that she isn’t visible with the towel covering her.

A final picture showed the little girl laying on his chest again, and he wrote over the snap: ‘My Bambi’, with a white love heart to match her white cloud all-in-one.
