Tom Cruise, Jamie Lee Curtis and Michelle Williams Academy lunch

Tom Cruise was seen on a red carpet for the first time in eight months as he attended the 95th Annual Oscars Nominees Luncheon at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills on Monday.

The Top Gun: Maverick star was there to support the 2022 blockbuster summer film that has received several Oscar nominations, including Best Picture.

The ex of Nicole Kidman and Katie Holmes looked different at the splashy afternoon event as he wore his hair longer and had a deep summer tan.

It has been many months since the 60-year-old – who will reportedly attend King Charles’ coronation – posed on a red carpet; the last time was in June 2022 for a Top Gun: Maverick event in Seoul, South Korea.

Also at the event were Oscar nominees Jamie Lee Curtis, who was there for her film Everything Everywhere All At Once and Michelle Williams who is plugging The Fabelmans.

Cruise was all cleaned up for the hob-knobbing event that sees some of the most powerful people in Hollywood break bread together.

Dressed to impress in a very fine suit, he beamed with pride as he shook hands with Top Gun producer Jerry Bruckheimer.

Tom looked happy to be at the event as he smiled at onlookers but there was something very different about his appearance.

Gone are the short locks and vanilla complexion. On Monday he looked as if he had just stepped off a beach in Hawaii.

Tom dressed in a nicely tailored navy blue striped three piece suit with the jacket buttoned only once.

The Days Of Thunder star added a crisp white dress shirt and lavender silk tie with purple accents in a diamond print.

The Mission: Impossible standout shoes were sleek black dress shoes that laced up and had dotted accents.

There were plenty of other A-list stars at the classy luncheon.

Always in fine form: Also at the event was Oscar nominees Jamie Lee Curtis, who was there for her film Everything Everywhere All At Once

Tony Curtis’ movie star daughter Jamie Lee Curtis looked almost business like in contrast.

And the talented performer – who has been in everything from Perfect to True Lies to Freaky Friday – wore her signature short gray hair nicely combed as she modeled frosty makeup.

Austin Butler was also at the Hilton Hotel event on Monday.

The actor looked sharp in a light gray double-breasted suit with a slightly unbuttoned shirt and no tie.

California native Butler was the luncheon as he is nominated for his turn as the King of Rock N Roll in the film Elvis.

While on the carpet, he put his arm around Colin Farrell as they seemed to be very good friends. Farrell’s latest film is The Banshees of Inisherin.

Cate Blanchett was one of the most elegant women at the star-studded lunch event.

The Australian born superstar was a breath of fresh air in her creamy yellow butter beige suit that consisted of a fitted double-breasted blazer and wide-legged slacks.

The siren added a matching coat over her slender shoulders and she had on black pointy stiletto heels.

The beauty wore her honey blonde hair back in a casual bun as she added beige eye shadow.

The versatile actress was at the event as she has been Oscar nominated for her electric performance in the movie Tar.

The film from director Todd Field is about renowned musician Lydia Tár.

She is days away from recording the symphony that will elevate her career, according to the synopsis.

‘When all elements seem to conspire against her, Lydia’s adopted daughter Petra becomes an integral emotional support for her struggling mother,’ the breakdown read.

Angela Bassett took a chance on her eye-popping suit.

The 64-year-old star of the hit 2022 film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever wore a royal blue and white striped suit with matching shirt.

The same material was used for her blazer, her shirt with tie, and her bell bottom slacks, making for quite the visual delight even if it did border on a circus look.

Bassett had plenty of charm to carry off the stunning design.

Bassett – who is wed to Courtney B Vance – wore her dark chocolate locks down over her shoulders which held a white purse.

Jenny Slate sure knew how to stand out at the luncheon.

The dark-haired beauty with the almond eyes wore a fire engine red outfit that made the most of her curvy figure.

The dress had large extensions on her shoulders that lent a Star Trek feel that just worked.

The neckline was low enough to be a tiny bit scandalous and the dress came in to show off her trim waistline.

The 40-year-old Slate is a stand-up comedian and writer. Born and raised in Milton, Massachusetts, Slate was educated at Milton Academy and studied literature at Columbia University, where she became involved in the improv and comedy scene.
