Sick: The flu season has struck Allison Langdon ‘s family hard. Her husband, Michael Willesee Jr, and their children, son Mack, five, and daughter, Scout, three, have been sick for days

‘After a busy morning in the studio, I’m at home with my hubby and five-year-old,’ the Channel Nine anchor began.

Langdon, 43, explained that Michael and Mack were both down with the flu, having suffered from a high temperatures for several days.

Meanwhile, her youngest child, Scout, has a cold.

‘It’s hit them really hard,’ she added.

Langdon has so far managed to avoid the virus, probably because she received her flu vaccine last month.

‘I got the flu jab live on air when Dr Nick Coatsworth came into the studio,’ she said, adding: ‘It’s certainly paying off so far.’

Langdon noted how experts have said flu cases are running rampant after the virus was forced ‘underground’ for two years during Covid-19 restrictions.

‘Queensland is now offering the flu vaccine for free, which has left GP’s scrambling,’ she wrote.

‘Hopefully, they can get the supply issue sorted quickly.’
