Beyonce’s mother Tina Knowles pens a heartfelt birthday message to granddaughter Blue Ivy on her 11th birthday: ‘You are so very special!’

Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles was every bit the doting grandmother when she wished her granddaughter Blue Ivy Carter a happy birthday on Sunday.

The 11-year-old, who once bid $85,000 for a pair of diamond earrings, appeared nearly as tall as her 5’7″ grandmother in a photo Tina, 69, shared of the two on social media.

The fashion designer looked hip in a black and white polka dot jumpsuit with rolled up sleeves and legs as she stood with her granddaughter on the beach.

The young singer, who bears a striking resemblance to her mother Beyoncé, donned a classic black blazer over a white top and pants. The tween styled her hair in loose curls and wore cool wire-frame sunglasses.

In her heartfelt message, Tina shared that the day Blue Ivy was born was one of the best of her life, and she admitted that she had hoped the girl would arrive on her birthday, January 4
