The Princess of Wales looked the epitome of elegance in a camel midi dress and matching coat as she stepped out with the Prince of Wales for a visit to youth organisations in Scarborough today.

Kate, 40, appeared typically stylish in the autumnal frock, teamed with a Max&Co £460 Pure Wool Long Run Coat, a £295 DeMellier London handbag and a £60 woven waist belt from Boden.

The royal couple, who both wore a poppy on their lapels ahead of Remembrance Day on 11 November, are visiting the resort town to launch funding to support young people’s mental health, in a collaboration spearheaded by the Royal Foundation.

Kate and Prince William, 40, dressed in a burgundy jumper and blue shirt under a navy jacket, visited The Street – a community hub that hosts organisations to grow and develop their services – where they met the grant panel of young people from the area who will be distributing the funding to local projects.

The duo were greeted by a cheering crowd as they started their day in the North Yorkshire resort to engage with local organisations who will benefit from funding which has been created from a collaboration between The Royal Foundation of The Prince and Princess of Wales and the Two Ridings Community Foundation.

William and Kate began by meeting the grant panel of young people who had decided how the money should be allocated.

The Royal Foundation and Two Ridings Community Foundation have convened local donors to secure funding to support the work of community-led organisations working with young people in the Scarborough area.

The young people on the panel have themselves been supported by local community organisations and the meeting is a chance to understand how grant decisions were made and learn more about how this funding will make a difference to young people in Scarborough.

Kate and William will then meet three local charitable organisations who are beneficiaries of the funding and see first-hand some of the work they are doing to make a difference in their community as well as the benefit of localised funding.

On Tuesday,  Prince William remained professional as ever as he presented awards in his first public appearance since The Crown confirmed its new series will show Princess Diana‘s infamous Panorama interview with Martin Bashir.

The Prince of Wales attended the annual Tusk Conservation Awards, of which he is patron, in Hampton Court Palace after Netflix dropped the trailer for series five of the fictionalised royal drama which included a tease of the 1995 interview – which William had previously asked media outlets never to air again.

Describing the BBC interview as ‘unethical’, he claimed it triggered the events that caused his mother to lose her life two years later. Despite fans of the show initially thinking just a few seconds of the interview would be depicted, it has now been reported that it will instead be shortened to a four-minute and 23-second segment.

This evening the Prince of Wales, 40, looked focused as he attended the event in a display of stoicism, and later greeted guests including opera singer Katherine Jenkins with a beaming smile on his face. Wearing a black tuxedo with a shiny black bow-tie and a poppy on his lapel ahead of Remembrance Day on 11 November, he was professional as ever.

During the ceremony he praised the ‘truly remarkable people working on the frontline of conservation in Africa today’ as he presented them with awards for their work.
