The Morning Show host Kylie Gillies is mortified as a Channing Tatum lookalike performs a Magic Mike-style striptease live on air

A segment on Thursday’s The Morning Show took an awkward turn when co-host Kylie Gillies was given a partial striptease by Channing Tatum lookalike Will Parfitt.

The 54-year-old looked mortified as her co-anchor Larry Emdur walked off the set, leaving her alone with the buff Magic Mike impersonator.

After first seating Gillies in a chair, Parfitt, 31, then pulled off some impressive dance moves before ripping away his shirt.

‘That’s such a waste of a good singlet!’ Gillies said.

The dancer then grabbed the television presenter’s hand and began to guide it towards his ripped abs.

‘I won’t touch it!’ the embarrassed Dancing with the Stars finalist said.

Gillies then called out for Emdur to return to the set, before congratulating Parfitt on his performance.

‘Look, excellent work,’ she added.

Gillies, who was clearly surprised by the dancer’s suggestive routine, eventually regained her composure.

‘Sorry, I thought you were going to do a little dance, not like a dance for me,’ she explained to the good-humoured Parfitt.

Parfitt, an Englishman who settled in Melbourne in 2015, is touring with Magic Mike Australia, a male strip revue inspired by the 2012 American film.

Magic Mike was a comedy-drama that was loosely based on lead actor Channing Tatum’s experiences as a teenage male stripper.

The film was a massive worldwide hit and spawned a sequel, Magic Mike XXL, and later a stage musical.

Tatum, 42, is filming a third instalment of the franchise, Magic Mike’s Last Dance.
