The Challenge was one of the worst-rating reality shows in Australian TV history.

Its metro audience plunged to a dismal 72,000 viewers, forcing Channel 10 to move the program to its least-viewed multi-channel 10 Shake.

Prior to the station change, the network had confirmed the remainder of the season would be running double episodes at 8:30pm and 9:30pm.
