Alongside an image of himself and longtime partner Jess Eva, 37, Norm explained that his recent breakdown has had a devastating impact on their relationship.

‘I’m not posting this for sympathy at all. I am writing this as a lot of people have been asking where I have been and I feel that now is the time to talk’ he began his long caption on Instagram.
‘I have been to a mental hospital for three weeks to sought my s**t out.
‘I was sexually abused as a kid at school. I haven’t spoken about it because I was stupidly embarrassed or thought there was something wrong with me.’

He continued: ‘The reason I am writing this is that it might actually help others to seek help, YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
‘The s**t I have put Jess through the last 12 months is disgusting and has had a major effect on our relationship.
‘She has stood by me as my best mate and been my rock and I’m so grateful. I am trying to fix what I’ve put her through but we are side by side doing it together.

‘I just want everyone to know that it is not weak, don’t be embarrassed to talk about s**t that has happened to you or how you are feeling.
‘Sometimes love and friendship is about having hard conversations that we don’t want to hear. It’s not about just the good times, it’s about your partner not accepting that you can live a life of anxiety and depression and fighting for your happiness when ya don’t know what happiness is.
‘And that was the hardest part to except. If you’re a partner don’t give up on us but be firm and don’t put up with being mistreated. If you’re a victim SPEAK UP AND BE HEARD’ Norm concluded.

Norm and his fiancée Jess rose to fame in 2018 after they starred on The Block.
During the season finale, they sold their apartment at auction for $2,859,000, making a tidy profit of $209,000.
In 2020, Jess revealed the couple had blown the entire cash prize on swimming pools, gambling and ‘helping out their friends’.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Mail Australia, self-proclaimed ‘bogan’ Jess said she and Norm have begun saving again, after splashing all their cash on swimming pools, gambling and gifts for their friends.
‘We’ve had to work really hard for our money now. We are starting to save again,’ the Triple M Sydney host confessed.
‘I think it was the most expensive financial course we could have done,’ Jess added.

The mother of two explained that she and Norm originally had plans to become property developers, but things changed when they returned home.
‘When we got home, we felt guilty that we had won all this money and felt a lot happier having fun and sharing it with our friends,’ she said.
‘We paid off some credit cards and when I was on Facebook I saw a lady couldn’t pay her rent so I transferred some strangers money.
He continued: ‘The reason I am writing this is that it might actually help others to seek help, YOU ARE NOT ALONE’
‘A couple of our friends wanted pools and we shouted our family a holiday to the Daintree Rainforest,’ she continued.
While she doesn’t have any regrets, Jess admitted that if she won $200,000 now she would be much more responsible.
‘We’ve never had money before and so you get a bit starstruck when you see all those zeros in your account,’ she said.

‘[If we won money again], we would be far most responsible and we would use it as a deposit for another house.
‘You feel like you’ve got nothing to lose but when you’ve got it and you lose it, you realise how important that opportunity was.’
Speaking on Triple M’s Moonman in the Morning, Jess also revealed the couple spent a portion of their prize money betting on a tennis match.

‘Remember when Ash Barty was starting out on the tennis circuit and we didn’t know she was going to be a winner and she was playing against Maria Sharapova?’ she told her co-hosts Lawrence Mooney and Chris Page.
‘We put thousands on Maria Sharapova and it was just when Ash Barty was starting her winning streak… I’ll never forget Norm’s look after Maria lost the second set, he just had tears in his eyes,’ she said.
Jess also revealed she and Norm paid off a friend’s car loan, bought two lawnmowers and even bought a block of land.
‘We’ve never had money before and so you get a bit starstruck when you see all those zeros in your account,’ Jess said
In July 2019, the former TV stars sold their block of land on Queensland’s Russell Island, just seven days after listing it.
The reality television stars purchased the land in July 2019 for $17,000 and sold it for $24,000 within one week of its listing.
The radio host told The Daily Telegraph the couple had hoped to build on the land this year, rent it out and then move back in 15 years, but they ‘didn’t have time’.
‘You feel like you’ve got nothing to lose but when you’ve got it and you lose it, you realise how important that opportunity was’ she added
The couple rent a home in Sydney’s Tennyson Point, which is 15 minutes from the Triple M radio studios.
Their financial situation has since turned around with Jess’s media career taking off in radio and television.
However, last month The MG, Jess and Pagey show was axed with just one day’s notice.

But she said has no intention of marrying her fiancé during a discussion on Jana Hocking’s Kinda Sorta Dating podcast.
The reality star – who shares Fred, seven, and Matilda, five, with Norm – said she was against the idea of spending thousands on a wedding when she could invest in something for their children.
‘I find traditional a bit outdated, and it’s just what fits your jam. For us, we got engaged and I’ve got no intention of getting married,’ she said.

Speaking about her first ever meeting with Norm, the blushing radio host recalled: ‘We’ve been together nearly ten years, ever since an illusive night when I got kicked out of a nightclub and a pizza restaurant.
‘His bald head was glistening in the moonlight. I said, “Can I have a bit of your pizza?” he said, “Can I have your number?”
I said “I’ll do whatever you want mate, just give us a bite.” It was love since then’.
