After returning home one evening, Nikolina said her husband revealed to her that their toddler, Noah, took a his first steps while she was out.

Nick informed her he had ‘spent some time’ holding Noah’s hand as he walked around the room then eventually let him go allowing him to take a few steps for himself.

‘Now, if Noah had independently pulled himself up out of nowhere and walked across the room and my husband witnessed it – there would be nothing to be angry about,’ she said.

'The fact that my husband assisted him into the big moment knowing the likelihood that it was about to happen - now that is just not acceptable,' she said

‘But, the fact that my husband assisted him into the big moment knowing the likelihood that it was about to happen – now that is just not acceptable.’

Nikolina went on to say there is an unwritten rule that forbids parents from attempting to make their toddler walk for the first time unless both are present and that she later witnessed Noah walking unassisted.

She said while she isn’t holding the act against her husband, she hopes he has learnt his lesson and she’ll be able to witness their second child’s first steps.

Despite the humorous tone, readers did not hold back with their opinions dubbing Nikolina ‘entitled’.

‘Get over it and yourself! Kids don’t hit milestones when it’s convenient for their parents!!’ one woman wrote.

‘Get over yourself lady!!! Plenty of people have missed their child’s first ever steps, it doesn’t change the excitement when you actually see them do it yourself!,’ a second exclaimed.

‘I waited four and a half years to see the first steps I never thought I would see with my middle girl. Just be thankful the child is reaching a milestone,’ commented another.
