Nine teens arrested after cops raid hotel and allegedly find drugs and knives littered throughout their room
- Police teams searched the Adelaide CBD hotel room early on Sunday morningÂ
- They allegedly found knives and methamphetamine and arrested nine peopleÂ
- In a separate incident cops also allegedly found an array of knives in car search Â
Drugs and weapons have allegedly been uncovered in an overnight raid on an Adelaide hotel room leading to the arrest of nine teenagers.Â
South Australian Police – including the Crime Gangs Task Force, detectives with Operation Meld investigating youth gangs, and Special Tasks and Rescue officers – attended the Franklin St hotel early Sunday morning.Â
Officers searched the suite and allegedly found methamphetamine and an array of knives, which were seized for further examination.
An 18-year-old Craigmore man and a 17-year-old Blakeview boy were charged with trafficking in a controlled drug and breach of bail.

A 16-year-old Elizabeth Vale boy was charged with carry offensive weapon and breach of bail.
A 17-year-old Craigmore boy was charged with state false details, breach of bail and had an outstanding warrant.
A 17-year-old Victorian boy was arrested on a warrant.Â
While the remaining four – a 19-year-old Burton man, an 18-year-old Salisbury man, a 17-year-old Munno Para West boy, and a 17-year-old Andrews Farm boy – were all charged with breach of bail.
A few hours later, in a separate incident about 5.30am, a driver who did burnouts on Hindley Street was tailed by police – but the car was later found abandoned in West Hindmarsh in the city’s west.
A search of the white Ford sedan, which had run out of fuel, also turned up an array of weapons including knives and baseball bats and the dog squad was brought in to help search the area.Â
A 20-year-old female passenger was issued with a cannabis expiation notice and a 17-year-old male passenger is expected to be charged with weapons offences.
The driver was not found and anyone with information is urged to contact police.
