Taylor Swift transformed from Cinderella to a burlesque dancer in the star-studded music video for her song Bejeweled, from her new album Midnights.
At one point in the video the 32-year old singer – who also wrote and directed the project – performed a cheeky burlesque routine with Dita Von Teese, 50, featuring the duo splashing around in huge martini glasses while wearing sparkling corsets.
The video was chock-full of celebrity appearances, including actress Laura Dern, the Haim sisters, make-up artist Pat McGrath, and record producer Jack Antonoff.

The video starts out with Taylor – who plays House Wench Taylor – in a tattered dirty white dress as she cleans vomit off of the floor in an attic.
Suddenly her mean-spirited step sisters Lady Danielle, Lasy Este and Lady Alana – played by Este, Danielle, and Alana Haim – appear in their clean gowns, and start discussing how they’re going to win a prince over.
‘I’m sorry my dudes, he’s gonna choose me, I even contoured my abs with the mud from the hog pen outside,’ one of them boasts.

Glamorous: The pop star looked ravishing as she lounged in her bejeweled costume, wearing a hefty diamond necklace
‘Well, I bought diamond nipple tassels so…’ another one adds.
They are then joined by Taylor’s evil stepmom, played by Laura Dern, 55.
‘Well, I’ll be poisoning all the other maidens in the village!’ she reveals.
‘Yes mom!’ they cheer her on.

Gold subtitles then appear on the screen, showing that Danielle ‘wants the ring’, Este wants ‘the title’ Alana ‘wants the d***’ while Taylor wants ‘the castle.’
The evil stepmom then shows off eight proposal rings she’s previously received from suitors, as she tells her daughters it’s the single most important thing to aspire to in life.

Not allowed to go: Dern then tells Swift she is not allowed to go to the ball, and even if she were the prince would ‘never have anything to do with that little harlot’
‘Well we all know who’s not coming tonight,’ one os the sisters says, pointedly looking at Taylor, as she calls her a ‘weasel.’
‘Do we honestly have to do this whole entire verbal abuse thing ever time you leave the house?” Taylor inquires as she continues to scrub the floor.
‘Shut up wench!’ they shout at her.
‘Speak not, tired tacky wench, clean!’ Dern admonishes her. ‘Even if she were allowed to go, which she is not, the prince would never have anything to do with that little harlot again. He tired of her quite quickly, didn’t he?’ she adds.
End of exile: When they leave, Taylor flashes a mischievous smirk at the camera
Gold watch: She then catches a mysterious golden watch that tells her that her ‘exile’ ends in two minutes
Going out! Suddenly a magical elevator appears and Taylor is wearing a glittering navy robe with a hood as she enters while singing, ‘And by the way, I’m going out tonight’
Sparkling: She continues to sing the chorus in the elevator: ‘Best believe I’m still bejeweled/ When I walk in the room/ I can still make the whole place shimmer’
Bedazzled: She then shows off her bedazzled gloves
‘Or should I say… Swiftly?’ she jokes.
‘There it is, that joke never gets old, thank you,’ Taylor replies.
They continue to verbally abuse her before leaving to get jewels for the ball.
When they leave, Taylor flashes a smirk before catching a mysterious golden watch that tells her that her ‘exile’ ends in two minutes.

A whole new girl! When the elevator doors open, Taylor’s hood is off and she is seen wearing a shimmery black dress and glamorous makeup
Wow! As she makes her way down the diamond runway, Taylor discards her robe to reveal a black bejeweled bodysuit
Sparkling: As beautiful diamond necklaces and bracelets fly around her, she begins to accessorize
Dimond splash: Taylor is seen making a splash in a sea of diamonds
She continues to sing the chorus in the elevator: ‘Best believe I’m still bejeweled/ When I walk in the room/ I can still make the whole place shimmer.’
‘And when I meet the band/ They ask, “Do you have a man?”/ I could still say, “I don’t remember.’

Going up: The star proceeds to get back in the elevator, and make her way up. As the doors fly open again, she comes wearing a stunning white corset and a white bolero
Tantalizing: At the end of the room the Queen of Burlesque, Dita, awaits her, in a tantalizing corset that matches Taylor’s
Magical: Dita conjures up two martini glasses and both of them get in and begin to put on a sultry performance
Sexy: At one point they douse themselves with water from giant olives
Meanwhile in front of her there is a walkway made out of diamonds.
As she makes her way down the diamond runway, Taylor discards her robe to reveal a black bejeweled bodysuit.
As beautiful diamond necklaces and bracelets fly around her, she begins to accessorize.
A splash: Taylor makes a big splash at one point
Having fun: The duo continue to splash around and have fun
Diamond tears: The beauty wore diamond tears underneath her eyes
Beauty: Dita is seen lounging in the cocktail while shooting the camera a seductive glance
Taylor then proceeds to get back in the elevator, and continues to make her way up.
As the doors fly open yet again, she comes out with red lipstick on, and wearing a stunning white corset, diamond necklace and earrings, as well as a white bolero.
At the end of the room the Queen of Burlesque, Dita, awaits her, in a tantalizing corset that matches Taylor’s.
Dita playfully waves at the camera. Both ladies then shake off their fur shawls, before Dita conjures up two martini glasses.
On time: In the next scene Taylor’s look is transformed yet again, as she hops onto a watch face wearing a sparkling bra and matching underwear and headpiece
Dance routine: The singer then performs a dancing routine with a bevy of scantily clad backup dancers
Music to dance to: The star shows off her dance moves as she attempts to win the talent competition and they key to the castle

Jack shrugs and closes the ring box. Meanwhile Taylor emerges in the next scene wearing a splendid yellow gown and diamond choker.

As the camera pans out to the entirety of the castle, dragons begin to land on some of the towers.
Swift’s new album, Midnights, dropped Friday, and has sold over one million units in the U.S. in its first three days of release, becoming the top-selling album of 2022.
The album’s position on the Billboard 200 albums chart will be revealed next month. If Midnights debuts at number one, it will mark Swift’s 11th chart-topping album.
