Taraji P. Henson and Paula Patton attend BET Awards dinner in LA

Taraji P. Henson dazzled while attending a dinner hosted by the BET Awards – in partnership with her and the Boris L. Henson Foundation – on Saturday.

The 51-year-old Empire star – who will host the BET Awards on Sunday – showed off her impressively toned legs in a lime green fringe mini dress while attending the function at Citizen News in Hollywood.

Also at the event was Mission Impossible star Paula Patton, 46, who was the epitome of chic in a blue gown with side cut-outs.

Henson finalized her stylish look with a pair of pointed-toe iridescent heels and a green clutch.

She wore her black tresses in sleek waves, and sported voluminous eyelashes and bronze eyeshadow for the occasion.  

Meanwhile Patton wore sophisticated floral heels and held a matching floral handbag.

Henson’s Empire co-star Jussie Smollett, 40, was also at the event, and sported a simple black blazer over a white shirt and jeans.

Television host Niecy Nash, 52, was seen speaking onstage at the event, and looked fantastic in a figure-hugging tan dress.

Henson will be hosting for a second year in a row at tomorrow’s BET Awards, airing live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.

Established in 2001, the Black Entertainment Television network (BET) awards celebrate African American stars in music, acting, sports and other fields of entertainment over the past year.

In a recent interview, Taraji spoke about the importance of the BET Awards, and how they have championed her throughout her career.

‘No matter how big I get in my career, no matter how high my star may rise, I will never forget my community,’ she told Essence, talking about ceremony.
