A man who was allegedly bashed to death by two men on pushbikes has been remembered by his community as a ‘beautiful soul’.

Bradley Frost, 62, suffered critical head injuries after he was allegedly attacked by two men on pushbikes while on his driveway in Victoria Drive, Modbury in Adelaide’s northeast.

Emergency services were called just after 3pm on Thursday to a property following reports of an attack.

Paramedics rushed Mr Frost to Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he passed away the following day. 

Police launched an investigation into the incident, which they deemed as ‘not a random attack’.

Officers arrested a 32-year-old man just after 5pm on Friday over the alleged brutal assault.

He was charged with aggravated assault causing serious harm and was refused bail.

The charge is anticipated to be upgraded to a more serious charge of either murder or manslaughter following the 62-year-old’s passing.

Following news Mr Frost had passed, neighbours paid their respects to the beloved local who they said was ‘always willing to help’.

Leonie and Micheal Fraser told The Advertiser Mr Frost was ‘the light’ of Victoria Drive and was like family to them.

‘We’re all really sad because Brad was a well-loved member of the community, especially our street,’ Ms Fraser said.

‘We’ve only lived here about six years and he’s been like a family member since we moved in.’

‘He was always trying to make the place better … he was the light of the street.’

Another Victoria Drive resident, Niranjan Dasari described Mr Frost as a ‘gentle giant’.

Police continue to search for a second man over the alleged attack, who is described as being of Aboriginal appearance with a slim build and wearing a white singlet, dark-coloured shorts, and a white baseball cap.

They are calling on anyone who may have seen the man to contact police.

The pair are said to have been riding pushbikes between 2.45pm and 3.30pm on Thursday and travelled southwest along North East Road and south on Reservoir Rd.

There have been possible sightings of them on Victoria Drive, Montacute Road, and McIntyre Road on Thursday afternoon.
