Grant Hackett is set to welcome his second child with his wife Sharlene in August.

And on Sunday, the swimming legend, 42, gave fans an update on the pregnancy by sharing photos of Sharlene’s baby bump on Instagram.

The Gold medallist posted family photos of the couple with their son Edward, three, and Grant’s twin son Jagger Emilio from his first marriage to singer Candice Alley.

‘Special day out with my special people… can’t wait to meet our baby girl in August and grow our Wolfpack,’ he captioned the post.

In the image, Sharlene was simply glowing as she showed off her growing bump in a long pink dress and leather jacket.

In another photo, Grant wrapped his arms around his wife as she cradled her bump and smiled for the camera.

The couple announced they are expecting their second child together in January.

‘Baby girl coming in August. Can’t wait to meet you. We are so excited,’ Grant and Sharlene said in a joint post.

The Gold medallist and his family live in the upmarket Melbourne suburb of Brighton after moving from his native Gold Coast last year.

Grant and Sharlene surprised fans when they announced they had tied the knot in a secret, intimate ceremony in Melbourne in December 2020.

In a gushing tribute to his bride, Grant said he could no longer wait to be married – even though the pandemic ensured the wedding was smaller than the couple had hoped.

He wrote at length: ‘I feel so blessed to call you my beautiful wife @sharhackett. With a year that’s been filled with so much uncertainty it’s been such a perfect way to finish off 2020.

‘With COVID-19 continuing to delay our nuptials and the ability to properly plan our wedding, with all of our friends and family in the one location both locally and from overseas, Sharlene and I just wanted to say ‘I do’!’
