Sunrise sports reporter Katie Brown was has been left with a regrettable tattoo after losing aĀ State Of Origin bet to her New South Wales supporter colleague Michelle Bishop over the weekend.Ā
Brown unveiled her unfortunate inking during Monday’s Sunrise, rolling up her sleeve to show the words ‘Go The Blues’ written in blue ink on her forearm.Ā
‘I’ve been fake smiling all morning and I will have to continue. But sorry mum and dad! This is a morning of firsts,’ the Queensland Maroons supporter told co-hosts Natalie Barr and Mark Beretta.
‘It’s disgusting, yeah it is so disgusting!’ she laughed, adding: ‘I always told Mum and Dad I wouldn’t get a tattoo, and look, it’s pretty real!’Ā
Beretta joked that Brown wouldn’t be allowed back in Queensland with her new tattoo.Ā
Brown replied: ‘I’m going to have to see a tattoo artist and get that removed this morning, stat. I do fly back [to Queensland] tonight.Ā

She however later hinted that her ‘tattoo’ may not be real.Ā Ā
‘It was a quick job. Only took a couple of minutes, actually. I was pretty impressed with the stencil. It wasn’t free-hand,’ Brown chuckled, perhaps hinting that her ink is actually a temporary tattoo.Ā
