OMG! Strictly’s Craig Revel Horwood gasps following Tony Adams’s samba to You Sexy Thing – before scoring him a two out of 10
Tony Adams won a standing ovation on Strictly last night for his Samba to You Sexy Thing from The Full Monty.
The 55-year-old ex-footballer finished his routine by stripping off to a pair of red sequined shorts – to the delight of the studio audience, who chanted ‘Tony, Tony’ throughout.
Judge Anton Du Beke described the former Arsenal and England player as a ‘genius’ while Craig Revel Horwood said simply: ‘OMG.’
However, despite the routine’s popularity, Adams and his dance partner Katya Jones received only 16 points, with Revel Horwood awarding the pair just two out of ten.

Former Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton, 39, danced the Viennese Waltz to Hopelessly Devoted To You from Grease
Grease was the word for former Blue Peter presenter Helen Skelton, 39, as she dressed up as Sandy from the hit Hollywood movie, dancing the Viennese Waltz to Hopelessly Devoted To You with partner Gorka Marquez.
Meanwhile, the show’s favourite, CBBC star Molly Rainford impressed again, scoring 34 points for her waltz to One Hand, One Heart from West Side Story. Even the most acid-tongued critic, Revel Horwood, described the 21-year-old as ‘magnificent’.
But it was singer Fleur East, 34, and partner Vito Coppola who won the first ten out of ten of the series, dancing to Part Of Your World from The Little Mermaid.
