But the BBC wildlife presenter has had years to perfect the move, it has emerged – having competed in the caber toss at the Highland Games. 

Yassin, 32, trains for the traditional Scottish event, which sees entrants flipping a large tapered pole into the air, by lifting logs weighing 130lb.

He can be seen holding a log in the air before the 2018 Kilchoan Games in an identical stance to a move during his routine with Jowita Przystal on the BBC ballroom show.

The cameraman won 39 points out of 40, the highest of the series, for his salsa to Top Of The World during the BBC centenary week. 

But when it comes to the Games, he hasn’t had as much success. 

The bird-watcher has lived on the peninsula of Ardnamurchan for the past 11 years and has taken part in the 2016, 2017 and 2018 games. 

Speaking on the Plant Based Podcast last year, he said: ‘It’s always won by a guy who comes from the Isle of Mull.

‘He’s been winning it for the last ten years.’ 

The man in question is 30-year-old James Campbell who has competed against Yassin in shotput, hammer, sheaf toss and caber toss. 

Mr Campbell told the Daily Mail: ‘Without a doubt he could defeat me on the dancefloor, but I would be willing to give him a dance challenge.’
