Former Socceroos skipper Craig Foster has called upon Prime Minister Anthony Albanese to enshrine a public holiday after Australia’s emphatic World Cup win over Tunisia on Saturday night. 

It comes after Saudi Arabia’s King Salman did the same following their upset of Argentina.

Foster was ecstatic on SBS’ post match coverage of the Socceroos as the national side logged their third win in World Cup history with a strong 1-0 score.
