Getting younger by the minute! Sinitta has reportedly knocked five years off her age on a dating app

A source told the publication: ‘Sinitta also says she’s a London-based artist with liberal views.

‘Well, it appears she also has a liberal view of her age because it also says she’s five years younger than she actually is!

‘She sang about a Toy Boy before so maybe this time she thinks chopping back the years will help her bag a date with one.’

A representative for Sinitta has been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

It comes after in 2017 the songstress appeared on Channel 4’s Celebrity First Dates – where her age also appeared wrong.

While doing her introduction VT an on-screen caption appeared listing her age as 48 instead of 54 at the time.

Fans of the show were quick to share their confusion online afterwards, with some even going so far as to accuse the Eighties pop star star of ‘lying’ about her age.

One wrote: ‘Sooooo funny Sinitta lied about her age on First Dates… I’ll just knock off 6 years!.’

Another commented: ‘So Sinitta’s 48 which meant she must have still been at school when she sang about having a toyboy. I smell a rat.’

It comes after last month Sinitta decided to quit Celebs Go Dating after failing to find love on the show.

The star was among the cast of series 12 alongside the likes of Laura Anderson, Pete Wicks and Gary Lucy.

But the hitmaker ruled out joining the cast on a new trip to Cyprus as she didn’t find a connection with anyone.

Speaking on a recent episode, Sinitta said in the dating agency: ‘Maybe I shouldn’t go on the trip, if that’s OK? And continue my journey until I meet someone.’

Dating expert Anna Richardson replied: ‘That is a bold and brave decision but it comes from the right place because it comes from putting yourself first and for that we applaud you.’

Asked how the agency helped her, Sinitta said: ‘I think I was quite fearful, so I think I’ll be more open and I feel more clear about what I want.

‘I think I could fall in love with anyone, but I’ve learned you can love everyone but not fall in love with everyone.’

Paul Carrick Brunson insisted her time on the show was not in vain and said: ‘We will of course miss Sinitta on the trip, but this was not a failure.

‘She has listened and learned what is important to have in her future relationship.

‘I’m confident she’ll take that with her going forward.’

It came after Sinitta hit out at the show for their ‘disgraceful editing’ which stated she is ‘still in love’ with her on-off ex-boyfriend of 20 years Simon Cowell.

Sinitta met the music boss when she was just 14, and went on to become the first signing to his record label – and she has previously admitted that she loves him ‘with all her heart’.

She took to Twitter to complain of her upset after watching the instalment of the E4 reality dating show in December.

‘Disgraceful editing!’, she wrote to her 132,000 followers. ‘To say I was still “in love” with @SimonCowell was a huge disservice to me and my endeavours.

‘Why did you do this? Love and “in Love” are very different @CelebsGoDating @awilliamsonTV @PaulCBrunson #iTrustedYou.’

Earlier this year, Sinitta exclusively spoke to MailOnline about her relationship with Simon over the years, admitting that she experienced heartache when he ‘broke their secret pact’ by dating her ‘best friend’ Lauren Silverman in 2013.
