Onetime Nomads boss Moudi Tajjour believes he was set up to be bashed in a Bunnings carpark on the Gold Coast after an earlier confrontation with a motorcyclist linked to the Mongols.
Tajjour was attacked by four men at the hardware store in Nerang shortly before 12.45pm on Saturday after the bikie turned influencer agreed to go on a peaceful social ride.
Harrowing video captured the moment 38-year-old Tajjour was ambushed and left curled up on the asphalt as one of his assailants screamed: ‘Where’s your podcast now, dog?’
Footage obtained by Daily Mail Australia shows heavily tattooed men taking turns dragging, kicking and punching Tajjour in the carpark. On Monday afternoon a 31-year-old man was arrested over the incident.
Daily Mail Australia can now reveal the the convicted killer’s day began with plans to ride from Eagleby on the Logan River to a restaurant at Coolangatta about 70km south.
An underworld source said Tajjour, who has quit the criminal motorcycle gang scene, was told there would be no outlaw bikies on the ride.

The source said 60 to 70 riders gathered at the Eagleby boat ramp about 10am and a man Tajjour did not know began to stir up the former bikie.
‘This guy kept staring at Moudi and he confronted him,’ the source said. ‘Moudi walked up and just said to him, “What’s the problem mate?” He said, “There’s no drama”.
‘Moudi didn’t even provoke it. He just said to him, “You’ve been looking at me hostile for 20 minutes. Do I know you? What are you looking at me like that for?”‘
The man Tajjour confronted – who the source believed to be linked to the Mongols – claimed he needed to detour to the Nerang Bunnings to meet some other riders.
The source said the group headed off with the man riding by Tajjour’s side.

Sometime before they reached Bunnings, the Mongol-linked man contacted his associates and about eight of them were in the carpark when Tajjour arrived.
The source said the men who ambushed Tajjour made no attempt to disguise themselves but had taken the number plates off their bikes.
‘Moudi got off his bike and knew what was going to happen,’ he said. ‘He realised he’d been set up.’
The source did not know why the instigator of the attack had organised for Tajjour to be ambushed but suspected he had done it to gain some ‘clout’.
‘Why wouldn’t this guy just have a fight at the boat ramp?’ he said.
‘He could have just had a crack at Moudi if there was a problem. I don’t know why he had to call eight of his boys to come down there.’
Video shared to social media shows what happened next. The source said the men who jumped Tajjour had planned to film the attack and even brought a tripod.

In one video, Tajjour’s attackers can be heard crying out ‘f*** off, you f***ing dog’ and he can be heard groaning as the punches and kicks land.
One man warns the gang to keep away from the row of motorbikes where the attack is taking place saying: ‘Watch the bikes boys, watch the bikes’.
Then one of the attackers drags Tajjour away from the bikes, strips off his shirt, punches him in the head and torso, then returns to stomp viciously on his stomach.
A dazed Tajjour manages to sit up, shirtless and the skin around his head and chest appearing flushed red, as the attackers retreat.
Tajjour has vowed revenge on the men who attacked him – warning that he has now come out of retirement – after leaving his gangster life behind to focus on becoming a social media influencer and podcaster.
But the underworld source said Tajjour seeking vengeance was unlikely.
‘These guys are already at war,’ he said of the Mongols. ‘He’s not going to do anything. If something happens to one of them it’ll fall on him. He doesn’t need the drama.’

Queensland Police told Daily Mail Australia officers attended the wild scene where they issued three traffic infringements for ‘minor matters’ but made no arrests.
That’s because officers ‘spoke with a number of people at that location and no complaints had been made’.
But on Monday afternoon, officers from the Organised Crime Gangs Group slapped cuffs on a 31-year-old Park Ridge man for his alleged role in the incident.
‘Now they will live with looking over their shoulder for the rest of their f***ing life,’ Tajjour said off-camera in a TikTok clip.
‘I’m out of retirement, I’m back in the f***ing club.
‘This was a wake-up for me, I can never leave this life.’
The TikTok and Instagram star said he had been attacked out of the blue and struck from behind by a ‘steroid head’.
‘I was f***ng on my phone, I looked up and got dog-shotted,’ he said.

‘Then I got surrounded and he got me a f***ing beauty and then they got me, his mates started coming from the side they got me good, straight out.’
‘I won’t show my face because I have a little black eye, I won’t give them the courtesy of taking a screenshot.’
Since burning his Nomads ‘colours’ and leaving the club several years ago, Tajjour has become a cult figure on social media engaging in ‘verbal battles’ with both real and would-be gangsters.
Tajjour in the late 1990s was the youngest-ever recruit into the Nomads joining the Sydney chapter of the bikie gang when he was only 15.

He and his brother, Sleiman, spent four years behind bars after being convicted of the manslaughter of Robin Nassour, the younger brother of Fat Pizza star George Nassour, in 2006.
Sleiman remains the national president of the Nomads bikie gang.
Tajjour moved from Sydney to the Gold Coast earlier this year to be closer to his son Gabriel, whose mother Ashleigh Gudgeon worked as a manager in a café he owned.
In 2017, he was briefly married to Sanaa Mehajer, the sister of disgraced property developer Salim Mehajer.
