Singer Lorde set to bring Solar Power tour to Australia in 2023

Lorde will be bringing her Solar Power tour to Australia next year after a year of delays due to Covid restrictions.

The 25-year-old Kiwi singer is set to perform a combination of her new and old hits across the country in March 2023.

The Green Light hitmaker will be bringing her enchanting voice and star presence to stadiums in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide.

The Auckland-born star said in a statement her latest album and concert is a celebration of the calming power of nature.

‘It’s an attempt at immortalising the deep feelings I have when I’m outdoors. In times of grief, deep love or confusion, I look to the natural world for answers,’ she said.

Lorde’s Solar Power album was released in August last year and its racy cover quickly made headlines.

It comes after Lorde admitted she had experienced extreme ups and downs over the last year in a letter to her fans.

She revealed in her email newsletter that she ‘used to sit alone in her hotel room on show days, binge watching [the Great British] Bake Off’.

The raven-haired star also reflected on her latest album and how the public reacted to her new sound.

‘I can honestly say it has been the year with the highest highs and lowest lows I think I’ve ever experienced,’ she wrote.

‘It took people a while to get the album – I still get emails every day from people who are just coming around to it now! – and that response was really confounding at first,’ the Royals hitmaker added.

Tickets for Lorde’s Solar Power tour go on sale on Wednesday October 19
