Sam Faiers has revealed she hasn’t shared a bed with long term partner Paul Knightley for six years.

The former TOWIE star, 32, who is mother to Paul Jr, seven, Rosie, five, and Edward, eight months, said she and her beau sleep in separate rooms with different children

Speaking on the Parenting Hell podcast she said: ‘Me and Paul haven’t shared a bed for six years. We’re still in separate rooms’.

‘I’m in the spare room with Edward, who I’ve recently got into the cot, but he’s still in the room with just me’.

She went on to tell hosts Josh Widdicombe and Rob Beckett that her older children sleep in the master bedroom with partner Paul and it’s a routine the family have ‘just never gotten out of’.

Separate beds! Sam Faiers, 32,  has revealed she hasn’t shared a bed with long term partner Paul Knightley for six years

‘Before [youngest child] Edward came along it was just like two and two – like one adult and one child.’

‘And we’ve never kind of gotten out of it.’

When asked how the couple had managed to have two more children without sleeping together, Sam cheekily admitted they still managed some nookie, saying: ‘You have to be inventive I guess.’

‘It kind of works, but it is getting a bit much now’.

She went on to discuss her reservations about once again sharing a bed with her beau, whom she began dating in 2014.

‘I think about it and I’m not sure. Because obviously I love Paul – and I’m actually quite an affectionate person – but he’s a bit of a night owl. So I go to bed earlier and when he does come in it’s like football highlights’.

‘It’s a big, bright (screen), and I don’t like sleeping with the telly on, If it was me and him he’d put the telly on and then leave it on and fall asleep’.

Last year Sam admitted to feeling ‘lots of pressure’ to marry her long-term partner.

The reality star has said she’s never been in ‘any major rush’ to tie the knot but added that when they do it will be nice for their children to be at the wedding.

Speaking on her podcast The Sam and Billie Show with sister Billie, she said: ‘I get this question of when will we get married all the time. I just think, number 1 I don’t know what the rush is.

‘We’ve had a lot of pressure from people who watch our show and people ask ‘why aren’t you married yet, when is it going to happen?’

‘I know we will get married – but I’m so grateful that we have it all to look forward to and in our relationship, we’ve done the hardest bit (having kids). It is a big challenge and change for a couple.

‘I know it’s not the right or correct way round but it doesn’t matter. But we have done the hardest bit and then hopefully the marriage will be a success and last forever!’

‘I’ve never been in a major rush. Some people want to get married before having children but that was never on our agendas.

‘But I am looking forward to having all three of my children at the wedding so I’m grateful that it has happened this way round. The more pressure put on us it pushes Paul away. And did you know that 42 per cent of marriages end in divorce!’

Billie then added: ‘It really shouldn’t be a pressure or a stigma, you should do it when it suits you.’
