Disgraced FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried is likely to plead not guilty to eight counts of fraud at a hearing next week, according to the Wall Street Journal.

The U.S. attorney’s office for the Southern District of New York earlier charged Bankman-Fried with eight counts of fraud, alleging that he oversaw one of the biggest financial frauds in American history.

The 30-year-old broke his silence from house arrest slapping down claims that he reactivated Alameda wallets just days after posting his $250 million bail.

In a tweet on Friday, the embattled cryptocurrency mogul denied having access to the now-bankrupt trading firm Alameda Research.
