Ronan Keating‘s son Jack has become a father.

The Love Island star, 23, made the surprise announcement on his Instagram on Thursday evening.

Sharing the first snap of his newborn baby daughter, he wrote: ‘Welcome to the world my little Princess’.

Jack has not been public about a romantic relationship since leaving the Love Island villa last summer and it is not known who the mother of the baby is.

It is the first grandchild for father-of-five Ronan, 46, who called his granddaughter a ‘little cutie’.

Jack looked every inch the doting dad in the snaps as he looked down adoringly at the little one who he cradled in his arms.

His pals and other Love Island stars were quick to congratulate him, as Paige Thorne wrote: ‘Congratulations hunny!!’

Ronan’s second wife and Jack’s step mother Storm replied with a series of heart emojis under the post.

The Irish singer shares eldest child Jack with his ex-wife, Yvonne Connolly, 48, who’s also a mum to Missy, 22, and Ali, 17, from the couple’s 12-year marriage.

Yvonne wrote on Jack’s post: ‘I miss her so much already’.

The Magic Radio Breakfast host has been with wife, Australian fashion designer, Storm, 40, since 2010 and the pair have children Cooper, five, and Coco, two, together.

A representative for Jack has been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

It comes after Jack spoke to The Independent this month and insisted: ‘I’m still single and ready to mingle. I’m on Hinge [the dating app], but I don’t use it too seriously. I dip in every once in a while and I’m enjoying being single.’

He added: ‘People think my account is fake. I’m verified, but they still believe I’m a catfish who’s stolen someone else’s photos. I’m like: “Trust me – I’m the real deal.”‘

He also admitted to going on Dinner Dates on ITV in his quest for love, saying: ‘I just did Dinner Dates with ITV, and that comes out in March. Filming took a couple of weeks and I met some nice girls and ate some nice food, so it was a full experience.’

Jack entered Love Island’s Casa Amor villa alongside Deji Adeniyi, 25, Josh Le Grove, 22, George Tasker, 23, Samuel Agbiji, 22, and Billy Brown, 23, in the 2022 summer series.

The Dublin-born influencer confessed to being unlucky in love at the time and had hoped signing up to Love Island would mark the end of his dating woes.

He said: ‘I’ve been single now for a long time, probably four or five years now and I’ve really been missing that spark that I haven’t been getting on the dating scene.

‘I’ve been dating for a long time, and I just thought “why not?” Hopefully, I’ll get a connection with somebody and see what happens.’

Last month Jack claimed he was forced to watch the show in isolation and give his top three girls to producers before entering Casa Amor.

After jetting to Mallorca ahead of his bombshell arrival last year, the former Islander lived in isolation with chaperone Dan ‘in the middle of nowhere’.

While banned from having access to the outer world, he has alleged was made to sit through nightly instalments of the programme and reveal who he had crushes on.

He told OK! magazine, ‘I wasn’t allowed to leave during my stay, but as there were no other buildings for what seemed like miles, I’d have had nowhere to go anyway.

‘Throughout those two weeks in isolation, I hardly spoke to anyone other than Dan. Producers came in occasionally to give a rundown about what was happening, but it meant that Dan and I got to know each other very well.

‘At the end of each episode I was required to say who my top three girls were, so producers could gauge what would happen if they sent me into the villa.’

He went on to claim he was instructed to pick three or four outfits which were then whittled down to one by show bosses.

Jack said, right before his entrance, a barber cut his hair and by 11pm he was in Casa Amor, describing it as being ‘so surreal’ since the other stars felt like ‘celebrities’.

MailOnline contacted a Love Island representative for comment at the time.

Last year, Jack revealed he was asked by Love Island producers to re-enact a conversation with Gemma Owen about their famous dads multiple times on-camera.

The celebrity offspring claimed he was ‘surprised’ when show bosses got him to repeat his chat with the 19-year-old daughter of footballer Michael Owen.

He exclusively told MailOnline: ‘I think the biggest, most surprising thing for me is just like how many times they have to build things if they want to get different shots, different angles, different conversations.

‘The [producers] will ask you again to sit down and have the same conversation again and bring up the same sort of things. That’s what I thought was the most surprising thing.’

The reality star – whose mum is Irish model Yvonne Connolly – continued: ‘My chat with Gemma we were having about our dads, they asked us to go sit down and have the same chat about our dads… I was like, “Oh god.”

When quizzed about reasons behind the request, he replied: ‘They just wanted to get some more footage pretty much, I’m not really sure, more angles or… I’m not really too sure to be fair.

‘They were just like, “Can you go sit down by the pool again and have a chat about your dads.”

‘I was like, “How are we gonna get this conversation back going again?” That was definitely the most surprising thing I think.’
