Jen Shah revealed that her lawyer advised her to stop getting botox injections ahead of her fraud trial on Wednesday’s episode of The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City.
The 49-year-old reality star during a group trip to Arizona discussed her looming trial while still maintaining her innocence.
‘My lead trial attorney Priya [Chaudhry] said, ‘You know, Jen, I’m going to need you to not get botox”,’ Jen told Meredith Marks, 50; Lisa Barlow, 47, and Heather Gay, 40.

‘I’m like what?,’ Jen said as the women looked on incredulously.
‘She goes, ”When we were talking earlier, you were talking about something very emotional and you were crying but your face wasn’t moving. I need your face to move!”,’ Jen added.
Jen told the women her trial was coming up in a month and that she was grateful for the group trip because she needed a reprieve from her legal woes.
‘I had a full-on anxiety attack this morning,’ Jen said earlier in their conversation.

Jen said she was headed straight to New York from Arizona where her defense team was planning to conduct a mock trial before her actual trial. She said it would be the first time that she would be hearing her side of the case.
‘It is hard to sit there and listen to lies and you can’t talk,’ Jen said.
‘I’ve tried to not take anything for granted anymore and celebrate every single day,’ Jen said emotionally in a confessional. ‘What if something happens and I’m not here to celebrate it next year?’

The episode titled Bad Weather Betrayal opened with Whitney Rose, 36, sobbing after Heather yelled at her during their rainy girls weekend in Scottsdale, Arizona.
‘Heather didn’t even know what I was going through,’ Whitney said. ‘She never takes the time to even ask me how I’m doing. It goes straight to my abuse. Everyone uses me.’
Whitney said in a confessional that because of the abuse that she suffered as a child she never learned how to set boundaries.

Heather returned to the table and told Whitney to not call her a liar.
‘You are too drunk right now to be cognizant of what’s happening,’ Heather said. ‘I don’t care who Lisa’s f***ed. I don’t care who Meredith’s f***ed. I don’t care who you’ve f***ed. I don’t care who Jen’s f***ed. I don’t care. I want to come together and support our friend who’s facing, I’m sorry, 50 years in prison.’

Whitney got ready to see her half siblings Curtis and Kelli who were in Arizona and left the house.
In a confessional, Whitney said the process of remembering her childhood has been intense for her. She went to her half brother’s house to spend time with him and her half sister Kelli. Whitney said that they all share the same father.

Whitney told them that she realized she had been abused and manipulated as a child. Whitney said in a confessional that their trauma was different but that they all shared the feeling of being let down by a person that they should have been able to trust.
Whitney started crying in front of her half siblings.

Whitney said in a confessional that she didn’t know what the next steps were to heal but that she was going to try to let go.
The next afternoon at the house, the women gathered for breakfast at around 2 p.m. Lisa decided she was going to focus on letting their remaining time together be about Jen.

Whitney returned from her half brother’s house. The women helped Jen pack and gave her a group hug when she left which inspired Lisa and Meredith to bury the hatchet and hug.
Later that night, the remaining housewives went out to dinner. Whitney told Meredith at the table that she was really hurt by Heather not backing her up and calling her a liar.
‘She knows that one of my biggest issues is trust, not being heard, being abused, and being taken advantage of,’ Whitney said.

Back at the house the women worried about how Jen would cope.
‘Do you guys think Stuart [Smith] is going to testify against her?,’ Heather asked referencing Jen’s assistant who also was charged and accepted a plea deal.
Meredith said Stuart already took a plea and that odds were that he was definitely not on Jen’s side.

‘The conviction rate in the Southern District of New York is extremely high,’ Meredith said in a confessional. ‘Her statistics aren’t good here.’
Jen was charged in March 2021 with conspiracy to commit money laundering and wire fraud and initially pleaded not guilty. She later pleaded guilty to commit wire fraud in July and her sentencing hearing is scheduled for November 28 in New York.
The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City will return next Wednesday on Bravo.
