Camilla’s glittering tribute to Her Majesty: The Queen Consort wears her mother-in-law’s George VI Sapphire tiara for the second time as she arrives at the Diplomatic Corps reception

  • Joining King Charles III for the annual Diplomatic Corps Reception in London 

King Charles III and Queen Consort along with other members of the Royal Family, have started to arrive at Buckingham Palace for the annual Diplomatic Corps Reception. 

Camilla, 75, paid tribute to the late Queen Elizabeth II by wearing her George VI Sapphire tiara. 

The royal looked typically elegant as she was pictured arriving at the reception in London, wearing a black cape with delicate silver embroidered detail over the top of a satin black dress. 

Camilla also donned a matching pair of sapphire earrings and necklace whilst keeping her make up natural but bright, with bronzed cheeks and dramatic eye make up, she held onto a royal navy blue velvet clutch, with matching silver embroidery.

Camilla, 75, opted for the Her late Majesty's George VI Sapphire tiara (pictured wearing it) as joined King Charles III, The Prince of Wales and the Princess of Wales for, as well as other Royal Family members, the special occasion at Buckingham Palace

Camilla previously wore the tiara a state banquet last month that King Charles held for South African President Cyril Ramaphosa and his wife Dr Tsheop Motepe. 

She joined King Charles III, The Prince of Wales and the Princess of Wales as well as other Royal Family members, for the special occasion at Buckingham Palace.

The royal looked typically elegant in a full length blue Bruce Oldfield Couture gown which featured sheer lace sleeves which she paired with her show-stopping jewels.

The Prince and Princess of Wales are also in attendance at tonight’s event. Catherine, 40, looked radiant in red as she donned a glitzy sequin gown.

Also paying tribute to the late Queen Kate wore a brooch of a portrait of the young Queen Elizabeth II wearing an evening dress with a ribbon and star of the Order of the Garter.

Earlier today it was revealed that the King and Queen Consort would join the Princess of Wales for her annual carol service at Westminster Abbey on the same day as the second instalment of Harry and Meghan’s documentary airs on Netflix in a show of solidarity.

Kensington Palace announced today that King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla and Prince William will attend the Carol service organised by mother-of-three Kate Middleton on Thursday, December 15 – which will take place hours after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex ‘s £88 million docuseries is dropped on the streaming platform.

The announcement comes a day after the second trailer for Prince Harry and Meghan’s documentary – which experts have predicted will delve into the early days of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s relationship – was released.
