Princess Mary is all smiles as she receives a bindi on her tour of India with husband Prince Frederik

Denmark’s Crown Princess Mary and Prince Frederik are currently touring India.

And on Wednesday, Mary, 51, was welcomed at an event with a bindi.

The Danish royal was a guest at the 25th anniversary celebrations of Grundfos, the largest pump manufacturer in the world.

Mary looked sensational in a tailored blazer as she leaned forward and received the honour, which also represents the third eye which provides perception beyond ordinary sight.

Mary wore her brown hair in gentle waves for the occasion, and completed her look with a faultless makeup palette, allowing her beauty to shine through.

Mary opted to wear a colourful coat that featured abstract designs and a crimson lapel for the occasion.

Her brunette locks were worn straight and Mary donned a subtle makeup palette befitting of her style status.

So keen is Mary’s eye for fashion that a public vote twice named her the World’s Most Stylish Royal, ahead of the Duchess of Cambridge, Queen Letizia of Spain and Queen Rania of Jordan.

The late Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld once described Mary and Kate Middleton as ‘royal sisters’ thanks to their strikingly similar appearance and comparable taste in clothes.
