Prince William secretly treated Kate to a ride in a James Bond-style 193mph Aston Martin DBX707

Prince William was given a licence to thrill when he treated Kate to a ride in a James Bond-style Aston Martin for a weekend test drive.
He reportedly took his wife in a DBX707 – from the car-maker beloved by Ian Fleming’s 007 – for a gifted, secret ride around Norfolk.
It comes after the Prince of Wales’s outfit at his £50million Earthshot prize awards ceremony – a velvet dinner suit complete with black bow tie – drew comparisons with the secret agent.
Topping out at 193mph, the £189,000 Aston is the fastest SUV in the world and the first production car to be built in South Wales in more than half a century.

The four-year-old factory delivered around 1,000 jobs to produce the car.
Across the secret agent franchise, Bond has driven four different Aston Martins, but the DBX707 has not yet appeared in one of the films.
The delivery of the SUV was ‘hush-hush’ and was kept so quiet the secret service could have carried out the operation, an insider told The Sun.Â
Wills was later seen zooming through winding country lanes in north Norfolk, they added.
Reportedly, it was ‘not a coincidence’ that the car the royal took for a spin was built in Wales by Welsh workers.

The prince got to drive the car for the whole weekend but instead of jumping out through an ejector seat and crashing the car into a river like 007, he handed the keys back after his test drive.
William’s love of Aston Martins is not new. At his wedding in 2011 he took his wife in a vintage Aston decorated with balloons in the colours of the UK flag as they drove off from Buckingham Palace.
And producer Barbara Broccoli joked that the prince would be the ‘perfect candidate’ to replace Daniel Craig as 007Â after he gave her a CBE in July.
