Asked about the absence of women in the best artist category, she said: ‘It is a difficult question to answer because as a feminist of course you want women and men and everyone celebrated, however they identify.

‘But at the same time if the best of the best is all men then I don’t think it is fair that one would be taken out and replaced but then it makes it…

‘It is a difficult one to answer so of course I think women should be celebrated but if it was an all woman category would the conversation be the same?’

She added that she was ‘kind of for it and against it’.

It comes after Jessie revealed that she is having a baby boy as she shared an adorable video of herself singing to her unborn child.

The singer took to Instagram on Saturday to announce the jovial news that her first child, who she is expecting with Chanan Safir Colman, is going to be a boy.

She shared a sweet clip of herself singing a song she seemingly wrote about her pregnancy and revealed she is having a baby boy in an accompanying caption.

The video also documented her getting glammed-up for Saturday night’s BRIT Awards, as she revealed it was her first time on the red carpet in ten years.

In the emotional clip, Jessie looked stylish in an oversized white shirt which she wore unbuttoned over her stomach to show off her growing baby bump.
