One lucky Australian has become an overnight millionaire after taking out the entire $50million Powerball just a month from Christmas.Â
The winning numbers for Thursday night’s draw 1384 were 6, 9, 14, 25, 27, 31, 33 and the Powerball was 15.
The entire $50million jackpot has been taken home by a single winner.Â
Details on who has won the mega Powerball are scarce, but the ticket was either bought in the ACT or in NSW.
In division two, 26 lucky winners will split more than $811,000 between them, with each taking home $31,222.55.Â

The draw comes just weeks after a group of 20 mining mates took home $53.3million in the nation’s biggest Powerball jackpot so far.Â
October’s mega $160million Powerball was won by only three lucky winners, with each becoming about $53 richer.Â
The syndicate said a rainbow had formed over their mine site just before the life-changing win, with one quipping it was their ‘pot of gold’.Â
The miners from Kalgoorlie-Boulder in Western Australia each spent $100 on the $160 million Powerball draw in a ‘spur of the moment’ decision to go in together as a syndicate for the first time.Â

The group originally thought they had won the division two prize before the ticket holder exclaimed the they were in fact division one winners.Â
Members of the syndicate said they planned to spend their winnings on early retirement, holidays and spoiling their families.Â
The syndicate joined a western Sydney dad and a Victorian grandfather as the three division prize winners in the $160million Powerball draw.Â
The Sydney father said he almost missed out on entering into the draw and had to rush out and grab a ticket at the last minute.Â
This is amazing,’ he told Lotto officials upon hearing he had won.Â
