Popular Bachelor star Paige Royal gets engaged during elaborate proposal

Bachelor star Paige Royal is engaged to boyfriend Matthew Sannen after he got down one knee during an elaborate proposal in Melbourne. 

Paige, who appeared on Locky Gilbert’s season of The Bachelor, shared emotional scenes from the heartfelt engagement on her Instagram page.  

Matthew, dressed in white, walked-up a red carpet in front of a black Mercedes 4WD covered in balloons and ‘Marry me?’ me written on the windscreen.

He then got down on one knee before Paige quickly said yes and the pair kissed on the carpet. 

Paige described the proposal as something straight out of a Hollywood movie.  

You make me feel the kinda love that I only thought existed in the movies,’ she wrote in the caption. 

‘I have no idea how I did not see this coming at all. You’re home to me my love and I am so excited to marry you.’

A Mercedes 4WD was seen covered in an array of balloons to deliver the message. The pair were seen kissing and embracing after she said yes 

The pair were inundated with congratulations from celebrity pals.  

‘Beautiful’ wrote Alex Fevola. ‘Yay!! This makes me so happy! Congratulations to you both,’ Irena Srbinovska added. 

‘Huge congratulations,’ Emma Roche added.

A clip resurfaced of Paige supporting Matthew at a medical appointment where she calls him her ‘future husband’ as she gushes: ‘He just makes me happy!’

The couple are clearly crazy about each other after she shared a photo of the couple at an event together earlier this month. 

‘I’m in love with you, more than summer and afternoons,’ she wrote.
