Plus-size model’s defiant response after being trolled for losing weight – as she insists she’s just trying to be the ‘healthiest version’ of herself
She is one of Australia’s most prominent plus-size models and influencers, but now Karina Irby is facing backlash from her followers for losing weight.
The Gold Coast bikini designer, 32, was accused by critics of ‘faking’ her body positivity, prompting her to hit back in a lengthy Instagram post on Wednesday.Â
The OnlyFans star shared a gym selfie and said she just wants ‘to be the happiest and healthiest version’ of herself, and it’s the trolls who aren’t being body positive.
‘To all the women commenting and telling me I’ve let them down now that I’m “losing weight and sharing my workouts”. To the women saying they need to block me for being a fake because I’m “clearly not body positive”,’ she began.
‘I’ll tell you what’s not positive – your attitude and outlook on what body positivity is. If I want to work on myself and get fit and healthy, that is being body positive.’

She added: ‘I’m trying to be the happiest and healthiest version of myself.
‘My mental and physical health has been suffering and I want to make a positive change in my life.’
Irby went on to say she has no intention of promoting fad diets, and instead wants to share her ‘struggles’ and become ‘happy and confident again’.Â
The entrepreneur concluded by telling her critics to be ‘more open-minded’ and to not ‘choose to be offended’ every time they see a person making healthy choices.

It comes just a few weeks after Irby revealed her new husband Ryan Jones is supportive of her decision to join OnlyFans.Â
She during an Q&A Instagram said:Â ‘He loves it! And loves taking the content for me. He’s fine with me sharing my type of content on OF. My biggest cheerleader.’
She also shared a loved-up beach photo of her shirtless husband kissing her as she flaunted her curves in a blue and white bikini.
Irby then revealed she gets a lot of personal requests from fans, and will often oblige by directly sending them a naughty message ‘every afternoon before dinner’.
‘I’ll tell you what’s not positive – your attitude and outlook on what body positivity is. If I want to work on myself and get fit and healthy, that is being body positive,’ she said
