She said during the chat, ‘I told [Willow], point blank, “If you can produce literature from a reputable source that tells me that social media is good for you, then you can be on it. Otherwise, good luck.”‘

In addition to Willow, Pink and husband Carey Hart also share a six-year-old son named Jameson.

During the conversation Pink also explained she doesn’t want to ‘coddle’ her children for fear the world will ‘eat them up.’

As a result, the entertainer strives for balance and noted there’s a ‘fine line’ between preserving her kids’ ‘innocence’ and ‘preparing’ them for adulthood.

On her choice to keep a cell phone out of her daughter’s hands she said, ‘It’s hard. A lot of my friends have their kids on TikTok and I don’t.

‘I told Willow, “That doesn’t move my needle, they’re not my kids, you’re my kid.”‘

The star, whose real name is Alecia Moore, also explained to her firstborn that there are ‘a lot of eyes on her’ as the child of a famous public figure.

She noted, however, that Willow does possess a watch which she uses to communicate with her parents when necessary.

In regard to Willow actually finding proof that social media is ‘good for you,’ Pink said, ‘She could be a lawyer. She could literally pass the bar.

‘She’s always right… She might actually find that literature, but good luck.’
