A group of men who illegally took up residence in a couple’s just-purchased forever home was photographed making themselves at home at the $350,000 property –Ā enjoying a buffet of McDonald’s and parking a bright green Camaro in the driveway.

Photos snapped Monday show at least three of the unauthorized occupants who invaded the home in an upscale suburb of Maryland – unbeknownst to the couple who attempted to move in Thursday to find the place already occupied.

Since then, an unknown number of ‘squatters’Ā – a term for a person who unlawfully occupies a property that does not belong to them – have made themselves comfortable, traipsing around the house seemingly without a care in the world.

The images show the three young menĀ enjoying some of the luxuries a homeowner might have while taking a load off in their abode – bringing with them a black lab, a bevy of fast food, and a $30,000 sports car.

The images show one of the absconders brazenly jetting off to a nearby gas station in the affluent neighborhood to fill the neon coupe with gas.

Another set shows two of the younger occupants peering out of the house as lensmen gathered to get a shot of the pair – who seemed to be unbothered by their closeup.

One of the delinquents, so undeterred by the stool pigeons stationed outside, even took a walk to the trash, to toss the remnants of what appeared to be a small feast from fast-food stalwart McDonald’s.

In one of the shots, the dog, off leash, happily exits and enters the house on his own, following the example set by his reprehensible owners.Ā

Ā The gang has since refused to leave, and has even hoisted up ‘Private Property’ and ‘Beware of Dog’ signs to assert their position.

The group’s identities, as well as their exact numbers, are as of now uncertain – but what is certain is the de facto gang has blocked a loving couple from moving into their newly purchased home.

‘It seems as though someone has totally tried to take possession of the property,’ realtor Melea King told WUSA9 of the unsanctioned squatting after she sold the couple the five-bedroom home.

According to King, the couple signed a contract with US Bank to purchase the property, set at 10716 Dragoo Place in Clinton, on Thursday – only to find the group already living inside.

When the wife tried to confront them, the real estate agent told the outlet,Ā the self-proclaimed tenants produced what they claimed was a lease for the property, and refused to leave.

‘She panicked a little and called me and said, “What is happening here?'” King said of the new homebuyer, who asked along with her husband not to be named.

At least two men were sighted by reporters outside the home on Friday – with the Monday sighting showing an additional man at the residence. It is not yet clear if the three pictured are all claiming residence at the property.

Real estate agent Melea King said the couple has an 'agreed, signed ratified contract' with US Bank to purchase the property

Real estate agent Melea King said the couple has an ‘agreed, signed ratified contract’ with US Bank to purchase the property

King, meanwhile, claims what the men are doing is illegal – despite local police shying away from evicting the crooks, calling it a ‘civil’ matter for local sheriffs and litigators, instead.Ā

“We have an agreed sign ratified contract with the bank,” said King who showed WUSA9 the couple’s contract with U.S. Bank to purchase what she says was the previously vacant, foreclosed home.Ā

King said that prior to deflecting responsibility, officers with the Prince George’s County Police Department examined the men’s supposed lease and conceded that ‘it was not accurate.’

The department has since confirmed that one of its officers went to the house on Thursday, but reiterated that the squatting case – which often can become legally vexing due to the litany of rights protecting so-called squatters despite the act’s inherent illegality –Ā the issue is a ‘civil matter’ and not within their jurisdiction.

In the meantime, the men are continuing to live at the home ā€” where several signs have been put up asking people not to trespass and that it is private property.

When a reporter with WUSA tried to speak with the men living in the house, they said a man named Quinn had the lease. They identified Quinn as their uncle but did not know his last name.

It is not yet clear whether the older man with the green Camaro is this so-called Quinn, and if the three men seen Monday are in fact related.Ā

A neighbor also told DailyMail.com that a marijuana smell has frequently been emanating from the house, and that there is a woman and a baby who have also been seen living inside.

‘I’m not real comfortable right now with everything that’s going on, and I’ve been here 20 years so I hope it could be resolved really soon,’ the nervous onlooker said.Ā

King added: ‘We justĀ  don’t know what to do at this point.’

‘It should not be taking this long for this to be addressed,’ she added, as the couple demands answers from the bank about how the squatters were able to get inside.

DailyMail.com has reached out to King and US Bank for comment, as well as the local sheriff’s office. None responded prior to the publishing of this article.

In order to evict squatters in the state of Maryland, residents must fill out a complaint in their district court, after which a summons will be issued to the squatters.

Either party can request a jury trial – however, such cases are notoriously difficult to navigate due to the offenders’ so-called squatter’s rights, a legal principle under which a person who does not have legal title to a piece of property may acquire legal ownership solely based on the continuous occupation of the property.

To this end, is not clear how long the squatters have been stationed at the property, but prior to its purchase earlier this month, the home – which sellers said ‘needed a lot of work’ – sat on the market for at least a month.

Public records further suggest that the home has been on the market for the better part of a year, with the previous owner moving out toward the start of 2022.Ā

The 2,743-square-foot property was previouslyĀ listedĀ on real estate website Redfin.

It described the five-bedroom as needing work, but noted that the $379,000 sale price reflects the work that needs to be done.

Photos accompanying the listing show a large eat-in kitchen, a living room complete with a fireplace and a sprawling backyard – all likely being enjoyed by the home’s unauthorized owners.

Unable to enjoy those amenities, however, is the couple who purchased the home, who have been forced to sit and watch how the ensuing, inevitable legal battle plays out.

‘Right now my clients are highly upset and we just don’t know what to do at this point,’ said King of their predicament. ‘It should not be taking this long for this to be addressed.’
