Photo of dad’s ‘creepy’ Halloween note attempting to pick up ‘hot moms’ takes the internet by storm – but critics seemed more mad about his candy selection!
- A man’s attempt at finding a date on Halloween has been labelled ‘creepy’Ā
- The man wrote a note ‘looking for a hot single mum’ and placed with lolly bowl
- But it appears his real ‘crime’ was his lolly selection which left people offended
A man looking for a ‘hot, single mum’ has been ridiculed online after photos of the ‘creepy’ note he wrote for trick or treaters went viral.
‘Don’t care how much candy you take, but if you have a hot, single mom leave her number, love your future dad,’ the man wrote in his awkward attempt to find love.
And while thousands of people agreed the note was ‘completely cringeworthy’ it was the would-be Cassanova’s choice of lollies that appeared most offensive.
A man has been slammed over his choice of candy after his cringeworthy attempt to find love went viral
The man’s bowl was filled to the rim with Starburst minis and tiny packets of LifeSavers, an apparent red-flag for any potential dates (or future children).
‘Not with that lolly selection,’ one woman from New Zealand said after the photo, thought to originate in the US, ‘went global’.
‘You might as well be handing out raisins and precut apple slices with that selection,’ added another.
‘With lollies like that I am sure my kid didn’t even read the note properly, she would have just skipped to the next house,’ added another.
One mum wasn’t afraid to let the man know exactly where the bar should be set when trying to win his ‘future children’ over with sugar.
‘If you are trying to be a kid’s future dad maybe break out the king size or at least Reeseās,’ she wrote.
‘This wouldn’t work, my kids would clear you out of lollies and bail, better off on Tinder,’ one mum said.Ā
Ā But others were thrilled by the real-life attempt to get into dating.
‘Damn, I should have sent my kids out,’ one woman said.
While another simply commented: ‘Hot single mum here, looking for a hot single dad.’
Some instantly thought of their friends.
‘Damn we needed this one I would have left your number permission or not,’ one woman wrote on the photo, tagging a friend.Ā
One young woman thought of her mum.
‘Didn’t see this last night, could have got a new dad,’ she laughed.
Others labelled the joke ‘old and tired’.
‘We have been writing notes like that in the US for years, boring,’ one man said.Ā
But many insisted they are willing to give a similar note ‘a go’ next year.
‘I would have better treats though, no kids with bad taste will be future kids of mine.’Ā Ā Ā Ā
