And even though Chance loves to visit Australia Hogan says, his home is in the US.Ā

‘All his friends, his band, musician mates, girlfriends, everything – they’re all American,’ Hogan explained.Ā

‘He only has me, whereas my tribe at home, they’ve all got each other.’

Chance is Hogan’s youngest child, who he shares with his Crocodile Dundee co-star Linda Kozlowski, 74.

He left his first wife Noelene to pursue a love affair with much-younger Linda, now 74, and they wed in 1990. Chance is their only son.Ā

He moved to Los Angeles in 2005 with Kozlowski. The couple split in 2013 and Paul has played a primary role in raising Chance.Ā

‘I’ve been homesick for years,’ he said during the interview on Friday. ‘I miss the people, the ambience ā€“ and there’s something you just can’t put your finger on, but there’s something about Australia that is friendlier and more laid-back.

‘It never takes itself seriously ā€“ there’s no arrogance like there is in other places.’Ā

The superstar who made millions off the box-office hits Crocodile Dundee (1986) and Crocodile Dundee II (1988) said he will be back in Australia before Christmas for a visit.Ā

Hogan denied writing the sign that read, ‘THIS IS MY HOUSE NOT YOURS,’ despite being pictured holding a red marker near the note. He claimed he was carrying the red marker near the sign because he was leaving instructions for an electrician.

In an interview with Sunrise last year, Hogan said he was ‘desperate’ to return to Australia and leave his life in America behind.

‘I am desperately homesick,’ he said.

His home is in the once-elite beachside suburb of Venice, where a vast increase in homelessness has seen hundreds of tents line the beach’s famous boardwalk and a sharp increase in crime.

‘I’m living in LA County, which is 10 million people and half of them have got Covid. So am I homesick? You bet your life,’ Hogan complained.

When asked how he was coping with Los Angeles’ crime wave, Hogan simply said he ‘doesn’t go anywhere.’

‘[I’m] bored in lockdown, and the minute I can get on the plane without being locked in a hotel for two weeks, I’m back,’ he said in 2021.

‘Where Paul lives is hell on earth,’ Hogan’s neighbor Tyler Proctor, a local politician, said last year. ‘His house is like a fortress and it needs to be. I can see why [he] wants to move out.’
