Patrick Mahomes LIMPS OFF the field at Super Bowl LVII as he re-injures his ankle in nightmare situation for Kansas City Chiefs… with backup quarterback Chad Henne warming up on sidelines
Patrick Mahomes left the field hurt in the second quarter of Super Bowl LVII with a knock to his troublesome ankle.
The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback’s right ankle got locked in the turf as he was tackled by Philadelphia Eagles linebacker T.J. Edwards.
Mahomes lay on the field grimacing in pain and limped straight off in worrying scenes.
He continued to visibly show his discomfort on the Chiefs bench and also expressed his frustration on the sideline.
The star football player was cleared the huge Arizona showdown after sustaining a high ankle sprain in the Chiefs’ 27-20 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in the divisional round of the playoffs.

Chiefs backup quarterback Chad Henne was seen warming up as Mahomes as tended to on the sideline.
The injury happened close to halftime as Kansas City trailed 24-14. Mahomes was seen gingerly jogging into the locker room when the whistle for the break blew.
Mahomes was limited in his ability to run against the Bengals in the AFC title win (23-20).
But Mahomes, who scooped up the AP NFL Most Valuable Player award Thursday, practiced every day this week in the build up to the big game and was cleared for action Sunday.
He had played down the injury concerns earlier in the week, insisting that he will try to play with ‘no restrictions’ in Arizona.
‘I don’t know if I’ll necessarily test it, but I’m going to try to have no restrictions,’ Mahomes said of his ankle on Tuesday.
‘Even in the AFC Championship game, I was trying to test it in and practice on it and do different kinds of stuff, but if there would be a play maybe if I was rolling out where I would kind of ease up on it.
‘Whereas this week I’m going to try to push it and try to be as close to 100 percent. Obviously, I’m not trying to tweak it or anything like that.’
