Tim Allen is denying claims Pamela Anderson made that he flashed his genitals to her more than 30 years ago, in her forthcoming memoir Love, Pamela.

‘I would never do such a thing,’ Allen, 69, told Variety Sunday, saying that the incident Anderson, 55, described ‘never happened.’

In an excerpt from her forthcoming memoir obtained and published by the outlet, Anderson said the incident occurred on the set of Home Improvement in 1991 when she was 23-years-old and he was 37.

‘On the first day of filming, I walked out of my dressing room, and Tim was in the hallway in his robe,’ said Anderson, who played the role of Lisa on the ABC sitcom, which starred Allen as Tim Taylor.

She continued, ‘He opened his robe and flashed me quickly – completely naked underneath.’

Anderson, who had previously posed for Playboy magazine, continued to describe the circumstances of the encounter: ‘He said it was only fair, because he had seen me naked. Now we’re even. I laughed uncomfortably.’

Prior to breaking out as a mainstream show business star, Anderson in the early 90s had appeared on sitcoms such as Married… with Children, Charles in Charge and Top of the Heap.

She left amid massive career success with the hit show Baywatch, on which she starred as C.J. Parker.

Tim himself also took part in a number of projects following the success of Home Improvement, and went on to star in another long-lived series, Last Man Standing, and was also the voice actor of Buzz Lightyear in the Toy Story franchise. 

Before his rise to fame, the comedian hit a few rough patches of his own, and was arrested in 1978 for possession of cocaine. He plead guilty to drug trafficking charges and was sentenced, but was later paroled in 1981 after spending just a little over two years in a Federal Correctional Institution. 

During an interview on the WTF With Marc Maron podcast, Allen opened up about his time in prison, stating, ‘I learned literally how to live day by day. And I learned how to shut up. You definitely want to learn about how to shut up.’ 

In the forthcoming Love, Pamela, which is published by HarperCollins, Anderson also discusses her thoughts on the 2022 Hulu series Pam and Tommy, which centered on her sex tape scandal with ex-husband Tommy Lee.

Another excerpt from the memoir was teased in a recent issue of People earlier on Wednesday where she opens up about her tumultuous relationship with Tommy.  

The blonde bombshell and Motley Crue drummer had initially tied the knot in 1995, even though the two had only known each other for a total of four days. ‘We just wanted to have babies and be together forever,’ she had written in the excerpt. 

‘My relationship with Tommy may have been the only time I was ever truly in love,’ Pamela added. Together, the former couple welcomed two sons, Brandon, 26, and Dylan, 25.

She also opened up about the video content that had been stolen from their garage and turned into a ‘sex tape,’ which caused a media frenzy. Pamela previously admitted that she has never watched the tape. 

‘It ruined lives, starting with our relationship,’ the actress wrote, adding that it was, ‘unforgivable that people, still to this day, think they can profit from such a terrible experience, let alone a crime.’

Towards the end of their marriage, Tommy had been arrested due to ‘spousal abuse’ and served six months in a Los Angeles County Jail in 1998. 

She recalled the incident that had made her call the police, explaining that the drummer had ‘twisted her arm’ while she was holding their son Dylan. 

‘Tommy ripped Brandon off me and threw me and Dylan into a wall,’ she penned in the memoir, adding that, ‘Our hell began.’ 

Later that same year, their divorce was finalized, which Pamela wrote, ‘was the hardest, lowest, most difficult point of my life. I was crushed. I still couldn’t believe that the person I loved the most was capable of what had happened that night.’

The star added that, ‘We were both devastated, but I had to protect my babies,’ and despite their past, they still, ‘check in, every once in a while,’ with each other.

On the same day that her memoir is set to be released, Pamela’s Netflix documentary will also premiere on the streaming site at the end of this month on January 31. 

She shared the news by uploading a picture of a handwritten note with the Netflix logo at the very top, along with a lipstick kiss mark at the bottom. 

The Baywatch actress wrote, ‘My life/ A thousand imperfections/ A million misperceptions/ Wicked, wild and lost/ Nothing to live up to /I can only surprise you /Not a victim, but a survivor /And alive to tell the real story.’ 

The star then signed her name to conclude the short note which she uploaded to her fans and followers to tease the upcoming documentary, which also follows her rise to fame, relationships and the sex scandal ‘in her own words,’ according to a Netflix synopsis.
