Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley were pictured on set of their upcoming period film, Wicked Little Letters, in Sussex on Saturday.
The pair were seen in character at the beach, wearing traditional 1920s dress.
Olivia, 48, and Jessie, 32, were in high spirits, linking arms and hugging as they frolicked on the shore in between takes.

The Crown star Olivia, who plays Edith Swan in Wicked Little Letters, wore a long brown dress, a black hat and stockings and heels.
Jessie meanwhile, was dressed in a flowing white long sleeve frock and an orange hat.
At one point, she pulled off her nude heels to walk barefoot along the beach and wore her short locks in curls.

Olivia and Jessie are reuniting again on screen in this film, after appearing in Maggie Gyllenhaal’s 2021 film The Lost Daughter together, alongside Dakota Johnson.
Olivia takes a starring role as Edith Swan in director Thea Sharrock’s latest project Wicked Little Letters, based on the real-life story of neighbours who come together after receiving a series of hateful poison pen letters from an unknown source.
Olivia will star alongside Jessie in the forthcoming film, with the Irish actress expected to play Rose Gooding – the fiery younger woman wrongly accused of drafting a spate of hateful letters to various members of the community.

Those familiar with the notorious case will know that Edith (Olivia), a respected member of the community, was eventually exposed as the poison pen author, charged with criminal libel and ultimately tried at Lewes magistrates court in 2021.
The new film is understood to be a lighthearted take on the case, with neighbours joining forces to solve the mystery after the finger of blame is incorrectly pointed at the Gooding.
On two occasions she would be sent to prison for crimes of which she was totally innocent, and the case would involve four trials in all.

Wicked Little Letters is expected to go on general release in 2023.

Olivia rose to fame on comedy show Peep Show, before portraying the late Queen Elizabeth II on Netflix’s royal drama The Crown – a role in which she received her first Emmy Award.
She recently reflected on her incredible career, telling The Talks that she’s ‘grateful’ for working ‘fairly consistently’ over the years.
‘I think it’s just been a long slow burn,’ she said.

‘I’ve worked fairly consistently, and I’m really grateful — even for the years of not getting so many acting jobs because that means I really appreciate being able to do what I love now.’
Despite having various jobs in between acting work to get by, such as a cleaning job, Olivia said she couldn’t imagine doing anything but acting long term.
‘It’s the only thing I can do. I am so bad at everything else!’ she said.
