A now-viral video shows the shocking moments when a black FedEx worker is caught in an all-out brawl with a barefoot white man on a New York City subway.

The video, originally posted to Twitter in September, shows the two men both standing in the middle of a subway car as onlookers stare at them throwing punches.

NY Actions, the account that posted the video earlier this year, called the fight: ‘just another day in New York City.’

At the time it was originally shared, it received less than 20,000 views, a massive difference from its rebirth in early November.

Since being posted on Monday, the nearly one minute video has amassed 3.5 million views.

71,000 people have liked the new tweet containing the footage of the fight while an additional 7,000 have retweeted or quote-tweeted the tweet.

According to NY Actions, the fight allegedly broke out over an incident involving the barefoot passenger’s bike.

‘Apparently the guy’s bike knocked into the black guy, black guy told him to apologize, he didn’t, fight started,’ the account said in September.

The horrifying video shows the two men launch dozens of punches at each other within the span of a minute, with the FedEx worker continuing even after the barefoot passenger is on the ground.

The origins of the brawl are not shown, but one of the first things seen is the white man grabbing the inside of the black man’s mouth with his thumb.

The two continue to throw hands, spanning several feet of the train as other riders had cleared the area.

At one point, the barefoot rider is seen laying on the subway’s seat as the black FedEx worker repeatedly punches him in the face while his head is up against the bars next to the door of the train.

The two go back and forth, all the while the bicycle, purportedly belonging to the white man, becomes entangled with the men’s legs.

After several more punches are thrown, the barefoot train rider can be seen laying on the ground for 11 seconds, one-fifth of the video’s length, as he recovers from the beating.

The video ends with the man walking towards the FedEx worker picking up items from the seat as the the train stops at a station and people crowd towards the exit doors.

Neither man has been identified in the two months since the video was first posted.

DailyMail.com reached out to FedEx for comment but the company did not respond to inquiries.

Many on social media reacted to the ‘disturbing’ video by sharing their disbelief and horror at the state of the transportation option and the world in general.

‘Wow no one says anything, everybody took his phone and started registering but no one intervened trying to stop this nonsense. Every time something like this happen we need to step up and divide the fight,’ one Twitter user said.

‘The train is a wild place lmao like what do you do ? you can’t do s**t until the next stop so you just have to stay, watch and be traumatized,’ said another.

That commenter echoes what many New Yorkers have been saying in recent years as crime continues to spike on the subway.

Just a few weeks ago, a 14-year-old girl was stabbed and injured on a train after she got into an argument with two other girls.

The 14-year-old was on a train at Saint Nicholas Avenue and 191st Street in Washington Heights when she was stabbed in the torso.

She was taken to hospital in stable condition.

In this latest incident, the 14-year-old girl – who has not been identified – was seen on the train about 4pm at the 191 St station in Washington Heights on Saturday

‘She was holding her side the whole time because it happened on the train and there was no blood trail,’ MTA cleaner Walter R. Lewis told the New York Post of the stabbed 14-year-old.  ‘She said she had history with the girl, whoever it was, that stabbed her.’

The girl was with a 13-year-old boy who was also injured – but not stabbed – while attempting to break up the fight, NYPD told DailyMail.com.

Since the start of the year, nine people have been killed on the subway system and another 13 have been victims of senseless shoves. The latest shoving victim was attacked in late October.

Mayor Eric Adams has now been forced to confront the escalating violence, and on Saturday said that he will flood the subways with more cops to curb attacks on commuters.

Just last week, police released footage of a crazed attacker who shoved a 22-year-old woman down a flight of stairs at a Queens subway station.

The victim was standing on the platform at the 82nd Street station waiting for No. 7 train when a man approached her from behind and began punching her in the face, police said.

He continued assaulting her before pushing her down the stairs, throwing her bag after her when she was laying at the bottom of the stairs.

The man then turned about-heel and left the injured women on the lower platform of the subway.

In May, another shocking video surfaced online of a woman crying out for help while being assaulted by a man on the subway while other riders ignored her.

In the video, the man is seen storming around the train car while screaming expletives.

As others attempt to flee from him, the woman who he sat down next to also gets up to go. Before she is able to get away, however, he grabs her and begins to terrorize her.

The man can seen in the video grabbing hold of the woman’s hair while pushing her down into the seat.

Mayor Adams has previously stated that there is only the perception that crime in NYC is out of control and that only six crimes on average happen per day on the subway.

Adams pledged recently, however, to take extra security measures to make residents and visitors feel safe.

A new initiative announced by the mayor that he will add 1,200 more shifts, or 10,000 more hours per day to enhance security in the subway.

‘We must address both the perception and reality of safety, and the expanded partnership we are announcing today with Governor Hochul will do just that, while building off the successes of our Subway Safety Plan,’ Adams said.

‘The bottom line is that riders will see more officers in the system, and so will those thinking of breaking the law.’

The rise in subway incident aligns with the overall rise in crimes on New York’s streets.

Over the weekend, New York Gov. Kathy Hochul was grilled on MSNBC regarding the city’s crime surge as Stephanie Ruhle, host of ‘The 11th Hour,’ interrupted Hochul’s interview to say: ‘We don’t feel safe.’

‘Here’s the problem. We don’t feel safe,’ Ruhle said. ‘You might be working closely with Mayor Adams, you may have spent a whole lot of money, but I walk into my pharmacy and everything is on lockdown because of shoplifters.

‘I’m not going in the subway. People don’t feel safe in this town. So, you may have done these things. But right now, we’re not feeling good. We’re worried we could be San Francisco?’

‘We’ll never be San Francisco,’ Hochul fired back.

‘It doesn’t matter what’s happening in other cities or other states. The reason people don’t feel safe in New York is why they’re starting to say, “can Kathy Hochul be the right governor?” Ruhle said.

That interview came as New York residents grappled with the horrifying assault of a jogger in the Big Apple.

Last week, a woman was jogging by Pier 45, near West and Christopher Streets in the West Village, at around 5:30 a.m. when Carl Phanor, 29, grabbed her from behind and choked her until she passed out.

Phanor, who has 25 priors and who is wanted for at least two other sex crimes, then removed her clothes, raped her, and fled the scene on a CitiBike with her headphones, cell phone and wallet.

The shaken victim was spotted by a fellow jogger, and first responders took her to a nearby hospital.

Phanor was also wanted for an attempted rape in October, and the sexual assault of another jogger long Pier 40 in March

Crime in the Big Apple has risen since Hochul became state governor in 2021.

Critics say the surge is driven by repeat offenders who are released under the state’s lax 2019 bail reform laws.

The issue of crime could well be the difference as to whether Hochul secures victory during Tuesday’s elections. She is now neck-in-neck with Long Island GOP Rep. Lee Zeldin.

‘In Kathy Hochul’s New York, law-abiding New Yorkers are forced to live in fear. Come January, in Lee Zeldin’s New York, criminals will be the ones forced to live in fear,’ Zeldin tweeted. ‘Election Day is 5 days away. It’s time to take our streets back.’
