New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson showed his offensive line some love this Christmas period as he gifted them all scooters.Â
Wilson has returned to the Jets’ starting line up and has come bearing gifts for his offensive line.
The quarterback started in the Jets’ defeat to the Lions at the weekend in place of an injured Mike White and, while he could not deliver a win Sunday, he has provided the goods in a slightly different way. Â

Offensive guard Nate Herbig shared a short clip to his Instagram story of Wilson’s generous gift.Â
Herbig can be heard saying, ‘Oh man, I appreciate you man,’ as he focuses in on Wilson who puts up a peace sign before looking coyly away from the camera.Â
The shot then pans away from the 23-year-old to a row of eight scooters lined up on an indoor field at the Jets’ practice facilities.Â

Wilson recently regained a starting role with the Jets after Mike White was ruled out through injury.Â
White fractured his ribs against the Buffalo Bills on December 9 and missed New York’s game against the Lions on Sunday.Â
Wilson is expected to once again be the New York Jets starting quarterback this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night after White was ruled out again despite his best efforts to be cleared to play.Â
Wilson had been benched and listed as inactive for three games before White was hurt.Â

In his return to the lineup Wilson had a mixed bag of results. The second-year QB threw for 317 yards and two touchdowns, but he missed several open receivers and threw a costly third-quarter interception.
He also lacked accuracy at times and ended the game with an off-target percentage of 35.3 was a season high, according to ESPN Stats & Information research.
Head coach Robert Saleh has been doing his best to rally around the yougster, saying:Â ‘There are quarterbacks through the history of time that needed just a little bit longer to find their groove.

‘So, when you see Zach, he’s got a lot of things you just can’t teach. You just can’t teach some of the stuff he does.
‘For him, it’s just learning the timing and rhythm aspect of it, the intermediate passing game and finding that consistency for four quarters. When he’s in rhythm, and he is hitting on all cylinders, it’s pretty cool to watch.’Â
Wilson has faced a tumultuous season which began off the field when his ex-girlfriend, Abbey Gile, accused him of sleeping with his mom’s best friend before pre-season.Â

Gile’s accusation came after Washington Commanders wide receiver Dax Milne – Wilson’s former college roommate – appeared to reveal a relationship with her on Instagram.
When someone commented that Gile was a ‘homie hopper’, she deflected the insult onto the Jets QB.
‘[Wilson] was sleeping with his mom’s best friend … that’s the real homie hopper,’ she wrote in a now-deleted comment back in July.Â
