Nathan Buckley’s new girlfriend Brodie Ryan insists the pair ‘have such a normal relationship’

Brodie Ryan has insisted that the romance she shares with AFL legend Nathan Buckley is just like that enjoyed by any other ordinary couple. 

The socialite, who has been dating the former coach, 50, for five months, told The Herald Sun on Sunday that she rejects WAG stereotypes. 

‘I’m an independent woman and I’m my own person,’ the 34-year-old told the publication.

In fact, the couple prefer quiet nights at home to sauntering around at celebrity events. 

‘If he wasn’t who he was we’d still love our time together in a chilled environment and are in our element making dinner at home,’ she said. 

‘We have such a normal relationship and we intend to keep it that way,’ the Melbourne-based beauty added.

The couple recently went public and stepped out together at the Justin Cassin X Redken show at Melbourne Fashion Week earlier this month. 

Brodie often attends events with her reality TV star friends including Bachelor In Paradise‘s Zoe O’Brien and Love Island‘s Margarita Smith. 

It comes after Nathan’s split from glamorous cosmetics nurse Alex Pike, 45.

Nathan and Alex began dating in early 2021 during the months which followed his separation from ex-wife Tania Minnici after 18 years.

The pair confirmed their relationship in May last year.

Rumours swirled in January this year that they had finally split for good, only for speculation to arise in March they were engaged after Alex was spotted with a huge diamond on her wedding finger.
