Campbell simply posted four hearts underneath Depp’s statement.
Benson, meanwhile, posted a photo of Depp on her Instagram with the caption: ‘YESSSSS.’
Musician Ryan Adams, himself accused of physical and emotional abuse in 2019 by numerous women, posted a message with a heart, prayer hands and flame emojis inĀ reaction to Depp’s statement. DJ Zedd also posted heart emojis.Ā
Reality TV and YouTube star Harry Jowsey, commented: ‘That was the craziest 7 weeks!! Johnny Depp won #JohnnyDepp.’
Other celebrity accounts seen to be liking Depp’s statement on include actors LaKeith Stanfield, Zoe Saldana, Emma Roberts, Gemma Chan, model Bella Hadid, New Zealand filmakter Taika Waititi, Jennifer Aniston, actors Henry Golding, Joey King, Riley Keough, and Jason Momoa, who stars alongside Heard in the Aquaman films.
But there were also some in showbusiness who took Amber Heard’s side, although perhaps less explicitly.Ā
Amy Schumer posted an uplifting feminist quote without directly referring to Heard. It garnered support from Lindsay Lohan who replied with some praising hands.

Speaking onĀ Piers Morgan’s TalkTV show, Sharon Osbourne was shocked by the verdict.Ā Ā
‘Wow, it wasn’t what I was expecting. I mean, I wanted Johnny to win but I didn’t expect him to,’ she said.Ā
Osbourne went on to describe Johnny as a ‘gentle soul’ and a ‘good human being’ as she detailed one off-camera occasion that she believed proved his good character.Ā
She said: ‘[Johnny] is a gentle soul. I can tell you last night, he spent about 45 minutes in his dressing room on his knees, talking to this little girl that was reading her diary to him.Ā
‘Now, I don’t know many guys that would sit back and do that. There weren’t any cameras around there were no film crews. He did it because he’s a gentle soul.’
‘Sometimes, I suppose, he lost his rag, but as a human being he’s a good human being,’ she added.
Yet Sharon noted that the couple’s relationship was ‘toxic’, stating: ‘For me, I related to it so much and I know alcoholic behavior inside out and backwardsā¦ but they were both abusive, both very, very abusive to each other.Ā
‘I think that he’s going to get his career back, I really do,’ she said.
‘I think that all the great big filmmakers will want Johnny because when it comes down to it, it’s how strong an audience you have? Johnny Depp has a huge worldwide audience.’

He shared Depp’s statement on the verdict and stating in a separate tweet ‘truth won out.’Ā

Comedian Morgana Robinson showed her support for Depp with a row of red heart emojis. ‘We love you, Edward scissor hands,’ she wrote, referring to Depp’s iconic role in the 1990 film.
But fellow comedian Amy Schumer took the other side subtly declared her support for Heard as she posted a Gloria Steinem quote on her Instagram: ‘Any woman who chooses to behave like a full human being should be warned that the armies of the status quo will treat her as something of a dirty joke . . . She will need her sisterhood. @gloriasteinem’Ā
Lindsay Lohan was among those who showed support for Heard with an emoji of raised hands underneath Schumer’s post.
But others made clear their mistrust of Heard.

‘I bet Amber Heard is wishing she hadn’t listened to her feminist friends,’ wrote conservative media pundit Ann Coulter.
Both Depp and Head releasedĀ lengthy statements in reaction to the verdict.
‘Six years ago, my life, the life of my children, the lives of those closest to me, and also, the lives of the people who for many, many years have supported and believed in me were forever changed,’ Depp said.Ā Ā
‘And six years later, the jury gave me my life back. I am truly humbled.’
Amber Heard said in a statement: ‘The disappointment I feel today is beyond words. I’m heartbroken that the mountain of evidence still was not enough to stand up to the disproportionate power, influence, and sway of my ex-husband.
‘I’m even more disappointed with what this verdict means for other women. It is a setback. It sets back the clock to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publicly shamed and humiliated. It sets back the idea that violence against women is to be taken seriously.’

The verdict came at the culmination of the six-week trial. The jury awarded Depp $15 million in damages.
It was the second time the former husband and wife squared off in court: Depp lost a libel case against a British newspaper at the High Court in London in 2020 where a judge ruled it was ‘substantially true’ he was a wife beater.
In the new case held in Fairfax, Virginia, Depp, 58, sued Heard for $50million claiming that she defamed him with an op-ed piece in the Washington Post in 2018 in which she claimed to be a survivor of domestic abuse.
Heard, 35, countersued for $100million claiming that Depp’s lawyer Adam Waldman made defamatory statements by calling her claims a ‘hoax.’
During the trial itself, some celebrities made clear who they supported.Ā
Eva Green took to Instagram last month voice her support for Johnny, 58, and shared a throwback picture of herself and the star promoting their 2012 movie Dark Shadows
Comedians Chris Rock, Joe Rogan and Bill Burr both fell into Depp’s Camp calling Heard a ‘crazy lady’ and a liar.Ā
Eva Green who co-starred with Depp in Dark Shadows went on Instagram proclaiming she had ‘no doubt’ he would ’emerge with his good name and wonderful heart revealed to the world, and life will be better than it ever was for him and his family.’
But Heard too also had some supporters. Howard Stern called Depp a ‘narcissist’, while actress Julia Fox said the power imbalance in Heard and Depp’s relationship meant Heard could not be the abuser.
‘Did she hit him? Yes. Was it abuse? No,’ Fox stated said on Instagram.Ā
‘You need to have power to be able to abuse it. She was 25. He clearly was always way more powerful including physically and financially.’
