Mining worker loses his job AND his freedom after forcing a massage therapist to sexually penetrate him with a plastic tool he brought to her salon
- BHP worker Dane Anthony Bloem, 40, was sacked and jailed over vile sexual act
- The WA father booked a massage session at a Mt Hawthorn salon last year
- During the session, Bloem forced a woman, 22, to penetrate him with a toolÂ
- He was charged with sexual coercion, which was changed to indecent assault
- Bloem has previously been convicted of public masturbation twice in 2018
A BHP employee has been jailed and fired after he forced a woman to penetrate him with a plastic tool before he touched himself in front of her at a salon.
Dane Anthony Bloem, 40, was terminated by the mining company on Tuesday after pleading guilty to indecent assault in Perth Magistrates Court earlier this month.
At his sentencing on Wednesday, Bloem’s defence lawyer Johnson Kitto told the court his client was facing a life without work.
‘The consequences of his offending are going to be felt . . . for many years to come,’ Mr Kitto told the court.
Magistrate Raelene Johnson blasted Bloem for the crime and said a fine was ‘out of the question’.
He will be eligible for parole after serving four-and-a-half months behind bars – half of his nine month sentence, the West Australian reported.
Bloem, who worked as a senior electrical inspector for BHP and has been with the mining giant since 2015, booked an appointment for a massage at a Mt Hawthorn beauty salon on September 28, last year.
Dane Anthony Bloem (pictured), 40, confessed to forcing a woman to sexually penetrate him with a plastic tool at a beauty salon last year
During that appointment, the father-of-four pulled out a ‘rigid plastic tool’.
He told his 22-year-old victim that it was a massage tool recommended to him by his physiotherapist and asked her to massage his hamstrings and calves with it, the court heard.
Bloem later rolled over to his side and pulled down his underwear slightly while the woman held the device.
He then, against her will, pulled her hand towards him so she was sexually penetrating him with the tool.
After forcing her to perform the act for several minutes, Bloem went to lay on his back before masturbating in front of the woman who left the room ‘distressed’.Â
Bloem later got dressed, took the plastic tool and rushed out of the salon.
His victim informed her boss about the incident before police were contacted.
Bloem was arrested days later and charged with sexual coercion, which was later downgraded to indecent assault. Â

Bloem admitted to indecent assault at Perth Magistrates Court (pictured) and will be sentenced on WednesdayÂ
Bloem’s lawyer argued during his court appearance that he was of good character.
He said that Bloem held down a professional job, attended a local church and went to a Men’s Shed.Â
But the prosecution claimed the electrical inspector’s act was ‘disgusting’, ‘degrading’ and should be taken seriously regardless of where it took place. Â
It’s understood Bloem did not inform BHP of his arrest, charge or court appearance.Â
He was previously convicted of public masturbation twice in 2018.
