‘Two years ago this was me… I was admitted to hospital, not for the first or the last time. I had collapsed in active addiction,’ her post began.

‘I left the hospital the next day, I walked over to the off-licence and bought more vodka.

‘Seems insane? It is! But it was the only way I knew how to live. So I thought.

In April, the Liberty X singer, 42, admitted that she had ‘given up on life’ before seeking treatment with a 28-day stay in rehab the year prior.

Speaking to Closer magazine, the mum of two said the worst part about her alcoholism was what she put her husband Hugh Hanley and their two children Faith, 10, and AJ, eight, through.

‘I’d given up on life,’ she told the magazine, explaining: ‘At my lowest point, I’d wake up in the morning and pray for someone to help me or I just wanted to die.’

‘I didn’t care about losing my family or friends, it was only about where the next drink was coming from. My skin was grey, I was exhausted and my body was completely unrecognisable and bloated.’

She has completely turned her life around and now keeps her followers up to date with her training at the gym.

She is also set to appear on Dancing on Ice next year and has been bust in recent weeks training for the upcoming show.
