Melissa Caddick’s five bedroom mansion has sold for an undisclosed sum after expressions of interest into the property closed three days early.
Jones Partners, the receivers of Caddick and liquidators of the fraudster’s business Maliver Pty Ltd, confirmed the sale of the home in Dover Heights, in Sydney ‘s east, about 5pm on Friday.
The receivers won’t disclose the price until after the property has settled. Â
Bruce Gleeson, a principal at the company, said in a statement:Â ‘Following a successful Expressions of Interest campaign, we confirm the Receivers have accepted an offer for the sale of the Dover Heights Property. Contracts were exchanged this afternoon with a settlement period of 12 weeks.
‘Until settlement has occurred, we will not be disclosing the sale price. However, we believe the sale price achieved is a strong result given the current market conditions and will make a significant contribution towards the pool of funds available for Investors.’
Mr Gleeson said the team was ‘very pleased’ with the interest garnered from prospective buyers.
‘We are also continuing our efforts to progress realisation of other Receivership Property such as the jewellery and designer goods and will provide a further update on such aspects very soon,’ he said.

The four-storey home boasts harbour views, three bathrooms, a pool and a rooftop terrace
Mr Gleeson had earlier said he hoped the four-storey property would sell for more than $10million and recoup millions for the conwoman’s victims.
Caddick’s husband Anthony Koletti had anticipated it would sell for $15million, which was the same figure given by multiple valuations in June this year.
Caddick snapped up the home – which comes with a pool and sits on a 390sqm block of land – for $6.2million in April, 2014.Â
It also boasts harbour views, three bathrooms and a rooftop terrace.Â
Agents for the home were due to receive expressions of interest up until Monday, before the sale on FridayÂ
Caddick disappeared the day after AFP and ASIC investigators raided the property on November 11, 2020.
The missing and presumed dead fraudster stole more than $23million from trusting clients, friends and family who handed over their savings believing she was a successful investor.Â
Instead the 49-year-old stole the money to fund her lavish lifestyle – wearing labels like Louis Vuitton and Christian Dior and expensive jewellery, plus embarking overseas trips.
