Harrowing home security video has captured the panicked moment a desperate teenage girl begs her neighbour for help as her mother is allegedly stabbed to death in their family home.Â
Mother-of-three Nelomie Perera, 43, was found dead in a pool of blood in her Wodalla Circuit house in the south-east Melbourne suburb of Sandhurst on Saturday night, just before midnight.
Her ex-husband Dinush Kurera, 45, is accused of being the knifeman and was arrested shortly after before being charged with one count of murder on Sunday afternoon.
Startled neighbours awoke to the girl hammering on their door in the otherwise quiet suburban street.Â

‘I don’t know where, she’s dead,’ the girl says.
‘I’m pretty sure she’s dead.
It is understood the couple who have three children together, separated about one year ago after 20 years of marriage.Â
Their son, 14, was also hurt in the alleged incident, suffering a stab wound to the neck.Â
He underwent emergency surgery and is now in a serious but stable condition.Â
Mr Kurera did not apply for bail and his next court hearing will be in April.Â

Friends of beloved mum, who was known as Nel, said she was a ‘beautiful person and a loving and devoted friend and mother’.
‘We are all shocked, appalled, and deeply saddened by this senseless and wanton act,’ Her friend Bec told the Herald Sun.
‘We love you and miss you so much, you will never be forgotten.’
