Terrifying vision has emerged of the moment an angry man mowed down a woman in his car after she confronted him about abusing a young worker at a McDonald’s restaurant in Melbourne.
She’s now suffering in pain from a broken leg and is unable to return to work, while the alleged road rage driver remains on the run.
Recalling the incident, Katherine Humphries said she was at a McDonald’s drive-thru in Seddon when she confronted the driver of the white Toyota C-HR.
‘The man ahead of me was yelling at the young worker for a couple of minutes, and I told him to move on and leave her alone,’ Ms Humphries said.
Katherine Humphries says her life has been significantly impacted by the ordeal
‘He drove off, and I went up to get my food. When I turned onto Somerville Road, he was there waiting for me.
‘He threw something at my passenger side window and scared me.’
She claims he followed her for a kilometre before he did a U-turn and smashed into the front of her car.
The Toyota driver mowed her down when she exited the vehicle to confront him.
‘I got out to say, what are you doing, and he looked at me, drove at me, and stopped.
‘I put my hands up, and he looked directly into my eyes and drove into me again.
Police hope to speak to this man captured on McDonald’s CCTV in relation to the February 10 incident in Seddon in inner-west Melbourne
The driver in the white Toyota (circled) followed Ms Humphries for a kilometre before mowing into her as she got out of her car, which was captured on CCTV
‘I looked down, and my leg was inverted. Then I looked up, and he was gone.’
Ms Humphries’ screams alerted neighbours, who ran to her aid as the driver allegedly sped off and almost hit oncoming traffic.
The manhunt for the alleged driver continues hours after Victoria Police released vision from the McDonald’s drive-thru incident.
‘My life has been significantly impacted by this person and he’s too unhinged to be on the road,’ Ms Humphries told Nine News.
‘It’s devastating. The pain was horrific. I can’t imagine being in that amount of pain ever again.
‘This has impacted my whole life. It’s humiliating.’
