McDonald’s has moved swiftly to assure customers $1 frozen Coke is still on offer, after one restaurant mistakenly posted a sign advising they had doubled in price.
Patrons entering the fast food giant’s Para Hills restaurant in Adelaide on Tuesday were met with a sign on the door explaining that the ‘due to a price adjustment all frozen drinks are now $2’.
When Daily Mail Australia contacted McDonald’s about whether the sign meant the end of the ‘Loose Change Menu’, which prices the small-sized icy refreshments at $1 nationwide, the fast food giant explained the sign was put up in error.

McDonald’s called the sign an ‘honest mistake’ and said it had been taken down.
‘We’re promising that our Loose Change Menu prices will not increase from now until at least June 2023,’ a McDonald’s spokesperson said.
Under the ‘Loose Change Menu’ pricing, medium-sized frozen Cokes or other soft drink flavours are $1.50 and large ones are $2.
Those ordering and paying with the McDonald’s app can get any sized frozen drink for $1.

‘Like all businesses, we review menu prices from time to time and consider several factors, including the higher-cost environment we are operating in, which has resulted in slight changes to some of our menu prices,’ the spokesperson said.
