This October will mark the 25th anniversary of Mark Wahlberg’s breakthrough hit Boogie Nights, with the actor admitting he kept his most infamous ‘prop’ from the set.

The 50-year-old actor was promoting his new movie Father Stu – in theaters April 15 – on Ellen Wednesday, when she asked him a bunch of questions she had never asked him before, since this is her final season of the hit daytime talk show.

She asked if he still kept the now-infamous prosthetic penis he’s seen with in the final shot of Boogie Nights, and the actor admitted he still has it… in a very secure place.

Wahlberg played a kid from Torrance, California named Eddie Adams, who is discovered by adult filmmaker Jack Horner (Burt Reynolds) and turned into porn star Dirk Diggler.

Throughout the film it’s inferred several times that he has a massive penis, when it’s finally showed in the final shot of the film.

Wahlberg admitted after the movie debuted that it was a prosthetic penis he used for that shot, and all these years later, he still has it in his possession.

‘Yes. It’s in a safe, locked away. It’s not something I can leave out. All of the sudden my kids are looking for the spare phone charger and pull that thing out,’ he joked.

He added it, ‘wouldn’t be a good look’ if his kids found it, and when Ellen asked if any of his four children he shares with wife Rhea – 18-year-old Ella, 16-year-old Michael, 13-year-old Brendan and 12-year-old Grace – have seen the movie, he added he thinks his daughter Ella has.

‘I think my daughter has, but she has not had the conversation with me, thank God. She’s sparing me,’ Wahlberg said.

Ellen mentioned that Wahlberg was, ‘great in that movie,’ before joking, ‘who would have thought Marky Mark would turn into a brilliant actor.’

Wahlberg responded, ‘Nobody would have thought. That’s why the expectations were so low when I started acting that it was just like, you do something remotely interesting, “Oh my God, he’s fantastic!”‘

He added, ‘the next thing you know they’re nominating me for an Oscar,’ he added, with Wahlberg’s first nomination coming in 2006 with The Departed.
